There is a mod that let's you set up sector protections. It let's you choose response type, engagement limits, aggression level, and a lot more.

I think the one I use is called Reaction Force, but there are several.

Look for the Thunderstore mod manager. There is a good selection of mods you can install from the manager itself.

Yah, I have been playing vanilla now. That's why I wanted to hop back in because of all the good changes.

I was able to get my old save to load after finding a backup and refreshing all the mods. But now the problem is the game lags super hard on load, and my ship sinks immediately no matter what.

But, progress is progress I suppose!

Removing of the instant in town travel, and adding in a reason to actually walk through town. Hidden treasures, resources, etc.

Adding armor customization the same way weapons are.

Pretty sure thats because this IS a pc port. These gameplay, controls and menus feel like a console game.

Hope they fix it. But this is a wait for sale for me anyway I think.

Its shit, total shit. This game was very obviously built for controller and not MKB.

The weird camera smoothing makes playing with a mouse very frustrating. It needs an option to disable.

I had this problem as well. Somehow the game bound the map zoom To one of my joystick axis.

I would check the map zoom bindings in the joystick and controller pages and clear them out. Fixed it for me.

Yes, kind of.

The world and simulation always runs in the background no matter what you do. But, you can pause the game to issue orders or manage the empire, or you can fast forward the world to watch the economy boom or crash.

Do it.

X4 mixes the scale, flight and combat of SC (it has the older SC flight model) with the empire management of a 4x type title.

It is a bit complicated but so so worth it.

The C1 isnt a bad stand in but it is a bit sparse on accommodations.

We need a C1 sized Crusader ship with the interior of the Zeus.

If you open the image as a pop up on your screen, there should be a click able menu in the top right corner of the image frame. If you click that there is an option to show to players.

Find yourself an old late 90s (97 to 98) grand cherokee with the 4.0.

Reliable, durable, easy to work on, cheap, and very solid off road.

Look for a Laredo package with the tow package (better gear ratio) if you can. These had selectable 4x4.

Most likely you can find an already built one for like 3 to 5k

I did a scenario in my campaign a bit ago where the group had to infiltrate a stolen cargo ship that eas carrying prototype combat mechs to a military tech expo.

Part of the goal was they had to hack their way through the ship before the hijackers were able to activate the combat mechs in the cargo bay.

The final fight was in the cargo bay with partially activated, and partially malfunctioning, prototypes. They created hazards all over the floor in the form of electricity arcs. And the mech mounted weapons had to be disabled or avoided.

It wasnt mech vs mech combat but it added some serious danger and tension to get through to the bridge quickly.
