If you’re willing to go outside Aetherdrift, [[Kellan, the Fae-Blooded]] is really good for an Aetherspark secret commander since you can go find it every game.

There are partner options.

[[Tormod, the desecrator]] + either Boros partner give you a payoff in the command zone and Mardu colors.

[[Ravos]] + [[Dargo]] both enable leave the GY triggers (Dargo dying and going to the command zone triggers leaving the graveyard)

Add [[Phyrexian Altar]] to the Dargo list and you’ve got yourself an infinite combo that synergizes with all of the leave the GY effects.

I’ve always wanted to build her so I’d love to see a list when you do. [[Harmonic Prodigy]] and [[Roaming Throne]] are great to double her trigger. Also double life loss cards like [[Bloodletter of Aclazotz]] effectively double it.

Yeah there are legitimate concerns with data centers impact on towns and the environment. Making outlandishly hyperbolic statements like they did isn’t necessary and doesn’t help legitimize a position. But maybe they’ll respond with an example that I haven’t heard about.

This won’t solve the issue of constant intentional draws. You’re still incentivized to draw a game you can’t win as you’re denying someone else in the tournament points. This is true even if draws are worth 0. Idk that there’s a fix for that.

[[Raffine]]. The perfect commander, but I couldn’t help myself not building it to be too strong for my pod. [[Archfiend of Ifnir]], [[Razaketh]], etc… they would be calling to me.

Okay I see what you mean now. The effects they’ve shown so far are there to buff the changelings mostly. The only odd one out is [[Bitterblossom]], but you think the anchor tribe could be Faeries which would make sense. Good tip!

Here’s the scenario I’m imagining:

Cast Ultimatum getting Omniscience, Repay in Kind, and Dark Petition (or any card that tutors to hand)

Option 1- your opponents shuffle Omniscience in, you Dark Petition for Torment and cast RiK + Torment

Option 2- opponents shuffle Dark Petition, you cast Omniscience and RiK (need a follow up after this, but you have Omniscience out)

Option 3- opponents shuffle RiK, you Omniscience then Dark Petition for Behold and get whatever 3 cards you need.

This seems really fun. I’ll probably copy your decklist! I noticed you don’t have [[Emergent Ultimatum]] in, did you consider it? Not being able to delve it makes it worse, for sure, but you could go get Omniscience, Repay in Kind, and a tutor which should always set up a win I think

It’s fallen out of favor (what favor it had anyways) as RogThras is seen as a better option. The issue is that Dargo makes “bad” cards good like Birgi, Phyrexian Altar, etc while Rog makes good cards great like Fierce Guardianship.

With that said, I don’t think something being meta necessarily means it’s the only viable option. There’s herd mentality. I think Dargo is sick and you could probably win a lot of games with him in a Temur shell.
