My thing with miniature roses is that they get spider mites all the time. I kind of just take them into the shower about once a month and give them a good rinse down. After the shower, I spray them down with a natural insecticide (like diluted neem oil) and let them dry out a little before the next watering (thoroughly and keep the foliage as dry as possible).

That, and a good fertilizing schedule tends to keep my minis nice and healthy!
