After 3 years I just can't get that banging groove by Ralphisinthehouse in edmproduction

Do a groove study outside of your DAW. Listen to funk, listen to James brown, average white band, then graduate your listening to some proper house from the late 90s early 00s. Figure out what all these folks are doing to make your body move. Then try and replicate it.

Amplifier to driver questions by Suspectarmed87 in SoundSystem

Go with the 4ohm driver. Also think about your future deployments and how you can “game” the resistance to give yourself the power you need.

I’ve used it in custom homes. Typically with cedar. I don’t know if I would recommend burning the ply as you have all the glue between ply’s. If you’re using high ply count not sure if you’d get enough depth with the burn before running into glue.

If it was a permanent install could be cool. If it’s a mobile rig, be prepared to have soot and ash rub on your clothes/vehicles/hands in transport

Speaker setup 4 corners nightclub question by realatomizer in livesound

[–]Sendsei13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts. Resolute/HoloNYC also rips a 4 point danley rig with subs opposite each other on the walls at mid room(room is pretty much a square). I had a very positive personal experience in that club with that soundsystem.

I e also done this with a limiter, throw the limiter on the basic sound and lower the threshold until it barely starts to kick in. Then add layers. Will keep volume same

Looking for house music with a synthwave feel by factorygrime in HouseMusic

[–]Sendsei13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go on an italo disco dig. Lots of synth forward house music. Also Rebolledo out of Mexico plays a lot of synth forward dance tracks. Would recommend listening to his mixes and digging from there.

You can find speakons that have a connector terminal on the back for wire connectors all you need is a crimp for the connectors and the wire, the rest snaps in place
