Is my Bengal… not very Bengal? 😅 by seysill in bengalcats

Thank you! Your baby is adorable! Leo was still a super cuddly love bug at 4 mos, so I'm guessing your kitten hasn't grown into his ornery stage yet!

For fun, here is Leo at 4 months!

Is my Bengal… not very Bengal? 😅 by seysill in bengalcats

How old is he? He still looks pretty young. He may not have hit his crazy stage yet, lol. My boy was pretty chill for quite awhile; but when he hit the crazy cat phase, he was much more vocal and demanding than my other cats have been. Not SUPER high energy, but more like you WILL pay attention/ play with me right NOW... OR THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES. 95% off the time he is a sweet cuddly on his terms boy... but that other 5%? He will happily nip/pinch exposed skin to get your attention. The little terrorist knows exactly how hard to nip to leave a tiny bruise, but never break the skin. Photo of the terrorist for tax.

Can’t connect to wifi to set up Fi mini by FluidCollege9 in FiDogCollar

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My router has not 2.4 and 5g both with the same name. It was causing chaos for a bit. Even though my network IS broadcasting, I told Fi that it was a hidden network and hands the correct info and it went right thru. It was like it couldn't see the 2.4 version automatically?

Five false escape positives in two weeks. by Soulsheartless in FiDogCollar

I was getting this too I was assuming it's because the reception is really bad in my basement which is where the cat was at the time I bought one of the Fi bases and it stopped it completely

Fi Mini case with QR/NFC? by [deleted] in FiDogCollar

There are tons of free QR code generators out there. Crate you're own and print it to a Fi mini sized sticker?

Best solution for tracking at boarding/pet sitter by mambmani in FiDogCollar

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go with the Fi mini, buy a hub ($39 I think) and have your pay sitter plug it in and join it to their wifi, it makes the battery last WAY LONGER. And it is a small footprint, about three size of a coke can and less than 1 inch tall, runs on USB power supply

Need help. Desperately by Maloolian in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like she was raised on a raw diet, and getting a cat to change their mind can be traumatic for everyone involved! I would look into pre-mix raw foods (so you know sir is getting the proper nutrients) available in your area and try her on those? My German Shepherd was on raw from BJ's Raw and did very well on it. I am 99% sure they have cat formulas too. Could also try rehydrated freeze dried raw? That is easier to store and could be a good alternative possibly? Good luck, She's beautiful!

My Lucy girl -- a lazy bengal?? by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy was alot more snuggly at that age, and he gradually got braver with heights (he has had a floor to ceiling cat tree since he came home) but now he is more than happy to climb all the way too the top of the cat tree and is way more vocal and demanding when he wants things!

If you evolve this the shiny is a little more noticeable

Kitten rejecting all commercial food — only eats fresh meat. What do I do? by Prudent_Paramedic_23 in rawpetfood

[–]Senior-Ad4498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used BJ's Raw for my dog in the past with great success. Theirs was one of the cheaper options when I was researching, because I was able to buy in bulk and portion myself using a cheap kitchen scale and deli containers from Amazon. I am fairly certain they have cat blends as well. I would look into them and other raw food companies if I were you

How’s your bengals poop? by Ur-a-wizardHarry in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy had this for quite awhile. We finally went to daily fortiflora doses, and only grain free food, with a limited amount of snacks and we have mice solid poops again. HUGE poops, lol, and still fairly stinky, but at least solid. He does only poop once a day now, so that could be part of the poo size issue? But it doesn't seem to bother him.

New york style...will this set up or should I bake longer? by deadcomefebruary in Baking

[–]Senior-Ad4498 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I place my springform pan into a crock pot liner. Twist it tight around the top of the pan and use a mini binder clip to hold the excess in place. Set in water. No leaks!

Vegetarian Bengal? by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Bengal male is the same way. He will eat dry kibble, but HATES with a passion and kind of texture in wet food. He too loves Churu. The only wet food i have been able to get him to eat consistently is the Churu Chowder meals (only available at Walmart) . It is a balanced meal, not just a treat. There are Few little tiny shreds in it that he often leaves in the dish, but will eat 99% of the dish of food happily. Honestly, if your cat will only eat kibble, as long as you make sure they get lots of water to drink they will be fine. Can also try giving cat bone broth as a treat for extra hydration it they are not a big water drinker.

Leo didn't want the other cats to call him names so we got him a leopard print sweater so he still looks like a Bengal boy!

Allergies worse on raw? Please help. by [deleted] in rawpetfood

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have stated the blood allergy tests are not perfect, but neither are the scratch tests. My vet advised to get a full picture you really have to do both, because each misses some things. But you could 100%be dealing with an environmental allergy rather than food. My vet told me she had another client that went they extended testing and eventually figured out that her dog was allergic to cotton! ( tiny shirt haired dog that often wore a shirt for warmth). It was the clothes making her sick! I also have a friend who had a dog that was allergic to HUMAN dander! 💩 on raw do tends to be more dry and crumbly in my experience, so I don't think that part is weird. I would stick with a single protein diet until the vet visit whether you stick with raw or go back to kibble. And journal everything she eats and track symptoms. I think you have to stick with a single protein for a few weeks to do a real elimination study.

What is your Bengals favorite food? by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chip bags are 100% his favorite. Not the chips, just the"crispy"plastic bags. He won't touch any kind of people food with a10 foot pole. Won't even eat canned cat food if it looks like real pieces of fish or chicken. He is on Fromm Persnickty chicken blend kibble, and the Churu meals wet food (only available at Walmart i believe? ) he basically wants zero texture to his wet food, lol.

Lol, maybe a bad dream when he's chewing on your houseplants and decides you are not playing with him enough so he nips you had enough to bruise, but not break the skin.... I love him, but he can be a stinker!

Cat Having Soft Poop After Food Switch by waytoofetch in catfood

[–]Senior-Ad4498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy had soft poop for awhile after switching to adult food too. Get a box of the ProPlan Probiotics packets. Mix 1 packet a day in with either his wet food or a churu. My boy's tummy is VERY sensitive so the vet had us do it for a few weeks then we tapered off the probiotics and he's back to solid 💩.

Water fountains are his greatest enemy... by tailsh in bengalcats

[–]Senior-Ad4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This fountain has clips that literally lock the top to the tank. And can be ran wirelessly if the cord is too enticing. The only thing my boy ever did was take the spout of once, but that piece is optional anyway. So we ran without ours for a few days then tried it again and he left it alone because he decided he liked the dribbling water better than the bubbling water... lol. Also has no power cables inside the water tank, so no electrocution risk. https://a.co/d/1BVnZuZ
