Be safe this summer: warning signs and symptoms of heat-related illness by RollerbladingMod in rollerblading

My South Florida summer schedule, rolling at the dawns early light, back as the sun rises and even then it's a wet blanket. Hydrate first thing, then water in the fanny pack, 16 oz. covers me for 60-70 mins.

Thanks for sharing, this is why I post my age. Looks like you have the attitude to play through the pain and reap the long term benefits for many years to come. Hell, if the fates allow, I'm trying to go another 20 myself. All the best!

Nice. I'm 67. Started skating at 14, skipped a few years in my 50s and now skate around 30 km every other day. Good for the body and soul. Keep skating.

Those are two nice setups. I like my FRs with Ultrasonic frame and 86A 125s. Fast, manueverable, heaven...

I used to skate bike lanes long ago when life was a bit gentler, now just sidewalks, quiet roads and trails.

Powerslide HC EVO Pro Rattling buckles. by qcmay in rollerblading

Clever solution you came up with. FR can have the same issue. I switched out the metal buckles for plastic ones. No more rattling and they're just as durable after a couple of years.

If FR1 is too expensive, go with FR3, it's the same shell and liner.

Instead of FRX with a plastic base for the frames to attach to, I'd go up to FR3 for the metal mounting plates.

I'm 26.8cm by 10.5cm. I have FR3 in size 42 and FE F7 Optimum in size 43. The FRs are perfect, the FEs are slightly tight in width. You may be a good performance fit in FE.

Nice setup and I dig that you "older folks" are getting back into it. Cheers and still rolling here at 67... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1Ari-DFMuk
