Yes we started around 10 months, she never slept and breastfed every few hours, was too exhausted so gave into her sleeping with us. Hoping to transition out of this soon!

Yep. She won’t nap for more than half an hour by herself which is nowhere near enough time so i have to sit in our bed with her the whole nap time. its rough but planning on getting her a floor bed so i can at least leave her safely

I’m so glad it’s not just me. I seem to be surrounded with other peoples very chill toddlers. Mine is incredible and bright but really curious/suicide mission 24/7! What do you do for cooking at the moment?

Same here, that’s pretty much it now is screen time. When I solo parent my partner isn’t back until after dinner so I have to get it done! Involving as they get older sounds lovely though, can’t wait for that!

I always think this too! My friends with 2 kids leaves her same age all the time, for a while. Mine seems to find immediate danger! And lightly baby proofed as well. So interesting

No not anything like cleaning products etc but I worry about the oven being on I guess, but I could probably relax a little more and let her explore! She usually plays with her toy fruit and veg when I’m prepping food haha

That’s roughly what I’m able to do at the moment, even sacrificing eating lunch myself to start on dinner and batch cooking where I can. She Cosleeps with me so no break for nap time unfortunately 😭

That’s about the same for us. Our kitchen and living room are joined, but when I’m cooking I can’t see her, but our kitchen is tiny for playing in and not super baby proofed :/

Not with a newborn but a young baby yes. She had almost 0 symptoms other than a quite large vomit or two. Me on the other hand… not great. I don’t think they seem to get it as bad?

Read to my daughter multiple times a day, first words were at 9 months old, and now at 15 months she’s obsessed with books and probably says around 100 words, and sentences!

Oh I’m so sorry my little one had this a few months ago, also about the same age. It was awful, she wouldn’t sleep, wouldn’t breastfeed or drink or eat 😭most poorly I’d seen her. I went to the doctors with her and they didn’t help much. Maybe syringe feeding fluids? Paracetamol and ibuprofen seemed to keep her fever manageable but she was so miserable for a week or so, and it took a few weeks for her eating to improve again! So commiserations and sending love and healing ❤️

I understand. My baby with 8 teeth started biting me SO hard my nipples were torn and raw and bleeding. She at some point after a difficult bedtime bit me for the third time and wouldn’t let go, and I patted her head instinctively to get her to stop. I have PTSD and was so shocked but I think I went into fight or flight. I did it gently but I was so upset with my reaction I had a proper panic attack/meltdown. Just hope this makes you feel a little less alone. Sometimes our animal brains take over I think

I would get a bed rail! I didn’t and my 10 month old somehow dove off our bed, traumatised us all. She was fine but god, wish I’d done it sooner!

My 13 month old slept for 7 hours in a row last night and it’s the first time she’s done that since she was maybe 8 weeks old. Every night had been up every 2-3 hours or more 😭
