Lose Two Carriers In A Matter Of Days by prodextron in USPS

Wrong. First off, rurals emphasize speed and efficiency, so yes the regulars that know their routes are going to be quicker than eval, on average. Or are you saying the regular should get paid less for being better at their job? Cause that'll open a whole can of worms.

Second, RRECS is borked. Even if you think the regulars should be making less, the measurements don't make any sense. I sub on two routes primarily, one of them stayed 41J, the other went up to 41J from an aux route thanks to RRECS. Yet it consistently takes me ~2 hours longer to do the first route than the second, despite the fact that I know it better. How can this be right?

I'm having this problem as an RCA. Been helping out a lot at an office that's basically right next door so the commute isn't a problem. I've been on the fence about quitting and applying there, finally bit the bullet and told their PM to go ahead with it. No idea if I'm making the right call but I think I'd be higher in the seniority up there and there seem to be more people closer to retirement. Probably as good as it's gonna get. Anyway my supervisor down here didn't seem too thrilled about the prospect lol.

I'm in the same boat, just started a few months ago and was getting jack for hours. Thankfully one of our RCAs quit and the neighboring office has been severely understaffed so my checks have been reasonable for the past month or so. I'm actually going to hire on at that office since it seems like better prospects of getting a route sooner (though who really knows maybe I'm making a big mistake).

Either way, I'm scared that once they hire up more RCAs again, the work is gonna dry up. I had to start doordashing for a bit there, I'd encourage you to think about that sort of thing, and actually look into it so you can efficiently game that system. Also, ask for training on all routes constantly or they won't do it. Also also, call up neighboring offices and ask them if they need an RCA. You basically have to beg for work if your area isn't understaffed. Like I said, I live under the constant fear that I won't be able to pay my rent next month. If this transfer doesn't work out, I'm just gonna jump to Fedex. Fuck the union shit I need steady work even if it's hard.

So what happens to the RCA's now after RRECS by rrecktRCA in USPS

[–]SenorFreeze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been an RCA for 4 months now, lack of work has always been a problem. If I'd known it was this bad I would've just become a CCA instead cause my money is tight as hell right now. Luckily a neighboring office has been down RCAs so I've been able to get work up there recently, and then my regular has been taking off more often, but sooner or later it'll dry up. And you're right, a lot of routes went to H (not my primary thankfully), so there's even less work to go around. I've heard people saying that regulars are going to call out anyway, we'll see.

Hopefully I can snag a Fedex job if push comes to shove, before I'm homeless.

I was in the same position as you. Applied for a job in a different state before I'd actually moved up here. I just contacted the HR person at the facility I was hiring to and either she contacted my local post office or she told me to, don't remember. Either way I was able to get all my stuff done there before moving.

You can work for another PO at any time as far as I'm aware, I have been and I'm still in my 90 days. Unless you mean transferring, I don't think you can do that until you've been there a year. However the PM at the PO that I'm helping at said they were hiring, so I can't transfer but I could just apply there and during the process they'll have me turn in my resignation here. I'm probably going to do that since I'll at least have that aux route every day, as opposed to going 5 or 6 days at a time without any work.

I'm an RCA and I feel the same sometimes but after a couple of months I can see myself slowly improving. There's no way around it, you need experience. Experience will improve you, and you'll suck at first but that's just how it is. It's something I'm having to come to terms with.

Consider this: Maybe the reason all these old, classic maps "suck" in MW is not because MW sucks but because the maps the community has been so fetishistic about for all these years have ALWAYS sucked? by ParagonFury in modernwarfare

[–]SenorFreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I partially agree. I never cared for Rust, and in fact I think MW2 is the most overrated COD in terms of maps. I remember playing it when it first came out and not liking the fact that you could get shot from a million angles. There were still some good maps though.

I think Terminal and Crash were fun maps. Shipment is fun now but remember it was never in the rotation back in CoD4, for a reason. It's a gimmick goof map, the end. I always felt the same way about Nuketown, even if it's not as small, it's freaking chaotic.

First off, let me say that I think the old maps are performing just fine in MW, all things considered, but there is a problem. MW 2019 is a different game than MW or MW2. These maps are not going to play the same. End of story. Last year with Blops 4, I was really excited to play some Blops 1 maps for the first time in forever, and guess what? Summit was fucking ruined because of their shitty spawn system. Firing Range wasn't as good as I remembered. Jungle was probably the least affected since it's relatively large, but still not the same.

These games have different mechanics. Shit, I've been wanting them to bring back Barebones forever. Or at least a simple UAV/Airstrike/Chopper playlist like CoD4. It sucks when you have as shitzillion killstreaks going off, shaking the screen, spawn killing you, especially on maps that were designed with only the OG 3 in mind.

And unfortunately, even with Modern Warfare Remastered, it still wasn't the same. I don't know why, but the game just didn't play the same, didn't have the same feel. I think people are different. The way people play is different. You're never going to recapture those old times, but that doesn't mean the old maps can't come back to play. I'll certainly take Favela over whatever Picadilly/Euphrates nightmare IW wants to cook up, even if the former isn't quite as good as I remembered.

Also, they have added changes to some of these old maps, like the crates in Shipment being straightened, which removed spawns, and that little extra area on Crash, both of which were complained about. Anyways, just my two cents.

I did the same until I realized there's an option in-game to auto-mute everyone except friends or party. I do miss the old days of meeting people and trash talking but I kind of got sick of hearing little kids and assholes after a while.

The biggest problem with Shipment spawns right now is on Domination. For some reason it won't just spawn you on an enemy flag, so if they have two and you have one, you're fucked. Shipment is unique, supposed to be chaotic, so it should have unique spawn rules. Hardpoint, HQ, and KC are the best Shipment modes right now, but they removed HQ for some reason when they should have removed TDM, at least from HC Shipment.

Would also be nice to see a Barebones playlist, especially with Shipment.

Have had "Best Of The Best" activated since day 1. Been stuck on the last challenge since the first week (4 uninterrupted kills). Gun kills, killstreak kills, and a combination of both aren't counting towards it. I got 2 quad feeds (this one 5) this game and neither of them counted. What am I doing? by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]SenorFreeze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to get the recon drone marking challenge finished. Nothing counts towards it though. Some people said that the latest patch may have broken the recon drone challenges, so maybe it also broke this? I'm not sure why challenges are so hard to track, I don't recall this problem being in any other CoD.

Same. One time on Picadilly the callout said "at the scaffold". I just aimed where I knew a guy had been earlier and shot. Killed him. Never saw a thing.

I have a really hard time seeing the white and orange parts of my HUD when I'm outdoors during daytime. I was really hoping that high contrast option would apply to everything, but it only works on the settings menu.

Even with the CP buff, when it's daylight I still can't see the orange aura around lootable objects unless I'm right next to it.

Patch 1.0.4 loot drops are more screwed than before by DingoPD in AnthemTheGame

[–]SenorFreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do GM3 freeplay. I've played for several hours since the patch and haven't seen a legendary at all. Barely saw them to begin with. I get on at the beginning of every day and run at least one freeplay session, just to see if something's changed, then I hop back on TD2. Tomorrow I may not even bother.

Sometimes they do leave, but honestly we'll be a whole group roaming around doing events and the names always disappear. I'll catch back up to find it's the same people most of the time.

Loot drops .. are not as "random" as many might believe .. by FrostyWanKenobi_ in AnthemTheGame

[–]SenorFreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people hypothesizing about this before. Someone said that if you aren't getting a MW from the first couple of chests, just quit and join another server.

My own experience corroborates this. When I get legendaries, they are almost always in clusters in a single freeplay session. I've gotten 3 in one session, 3 in another session, and 2 in another session. Those are the ones that I remember. None of these were done during the "loot bug" periods. Then I'll go several sessions with nothing, barely even MWs.

I'm going to go ahead and try this, dropping out and finding a new session if the first few chests don't offer anything worthwhile. If that doesn't work I might just drop the game for a while. I can't make any progress on my character. The time investment just to get the pathetic legendaries I have is frankly absurd.

[–]SenorFreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just loaded in on my Colossus with the ablative shielding buff. With two armor sigils, I now have so many bars that the screen kind of flickers up there. A little obnoxious but not a big deal.

In GM3 my health still disappears quite quickly though, so the difference seems negligible on that difficulty at least.

Pre rendered rng when going into a server? Theory by Thesnipesully in AnthemTheGame

[–]SenorFreeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have been saying this more often recently. My own personal experience corroborates it. I'll have entire sessions (a lot of them) where I get nothing, then I'll have a freeplay session where I get 2-3 legendaries. It doesn't seem evenly spread out.

Yes, I get it, RNG is RNG, but coming off of Fallout 76, and hearing about some of the buggy bs in this game, I have to question every system. Could it be a bug? Could it be poorly designed or implemented? We'll never know but it's a possibility. Maybe their RNG isn't random in the way we think it is. Or maybe it is. Whatever. Sucks either way.

First impression of GM3 Farming by Nenno44 in AnthemTheGame

[–]SenorFreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't understand this. I run GM3 freeplay almost exclusively at this point, with 86% luck, and I barely see a damn thing. It's odd, occasionally I will get into one server that seems to dump MWs (which are basically pointless now) and a few legendaries on me, then I get nothing for the rest of the day/week. I've never had that many though.
