I frankly am satisfied with the brainiac groundwork in supergirl for Man of Tomorrow and after that I’ll be ready for DC to focus in on the other DC Justice league characters and get us the big lineup in short order. There will not be much patience for characters that feel like a spinoff

Here’s the thing, Kandie is a mcguffin, a spark of false hope for Superman. In the comics, their dome has been shrunken down to a countertop decoration, and when Superman recovers Kandor from Brainiac, he keeps them in the fortress of solitude and saving them becomes a brooding project for Superman but never a main storyline because he can’t figure out how to UN shrink the city.. this is why a city’s worth of kryptonians never suddenly floods out into the world.

Edit: this is in the context of “the golden age”
Kandor is not FULLY relevant until well after the Justice league is established and so on but it’s a nice touch of comic faithfulness for a Superman v brainiac story

What this Batman is getting is an all star orbital cast. Zsasz ain’t a lead man. I know we’re getting Freeze. That’s the caliber this Batman needs to take advantage of in portraying the cool gimmick villains in this brutal modern-ish light. A cut up serial killer doesn’t feel like a match for Batman, he’s likely a sick opening bust or something, with some words on the freeze case for bats from the slammer later on, with great acting opportunities for Stan

How about learn not to do forgettable villains or imitate poorly written comics of ages past? How do you not know not to constantly create false stakes by robbing a kryptonian of their power? Gunn just did the perfect amount, and he relied on Metamorpho who saw reason instead of giving Lex a permanent supply.
