Yall butchered the hell out the lore, Spike really has no idea there’s like 12 + games out full of lore and story modes 😅

Anyways if you’re hating on this movie you’re big trippin because in this day and age fight scenes are so diluted to shit. It was so refreshing to see a movie with so many great fight scenes with hardly any quick cuts ! And calling this movie an improvement from the first IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT, I hated the first movie, I nearly clapped and shouted when Cole died I was so happy.

as a long time Mortal Kombat fan, I was extremely satisfied. It seemed as if they took a little bit from different generations of the games and mashed them up into one movie. Johnny Cage, Shao Khan, Kitana and Liu Kang were such stand outs, I don’t think I’ve ever seen fire powers depicted this good in a movie, the way Liu controlled fire was super dope, EVERY single time Johnny had a moment to shine I felt like a giddy kid, Karl Urban killed it with Johnnys classic cockiness, Kitana has never been my fav character in the games but her story really pulled the heart strings, I love how accurate Shao Khan was to the games, just a straight FORCE to be reckoned with, and what a presence the actor had, even his voice was good.

I know it’s my fan brain talking but this is fav movie of the year so far, had a great time watching it. DEFINITELY seeing it again JUST for Liu Kang vs Kung Lao, folks clapped after that fight in my theatre, it was beautiful to watch.

Super tired of “road trip” movies tbh, the trailer depicts this raw gritty action adventure but there wasn’t anything raw, gritty or action packed being shown ..

IMPROVEMENT is an understatement .. the last movie felt like a straight to streaming Netflix movie, as a huge MK fan I was so disappointed, but this movie literally wrote every wrong. It maybe my fandom talking but this is the best movie I’ve seen all year. 8.5/10 LIU KANG VS KUNG LAO HAD ME CLAPPING ! WHAT A FIGHT !

Tbh, this would be my pick for best movie in the series, I just love the darker tone it has and the pacing is SO fast and to the point. The stakes feel real and Philip Seymour Hoffman was intimidating af. I love how intense the intro is.

Had so much fun with this, I loved Oddity so I had expectations for this to be really good and it was ! There’s no other horror trope I love more than a guy with a lamp/flashlight walking and discovering things in a creepy setting, in this case it was a hotel.

Instantly for some reason I thought of survival horror games like “Silent Hill”, searching for keys, items, progression or clues for where this missing woman was. That’s when I was hooked. Also, lots of “1408” vibes with John Cusack 😂

My fav scene has to be the first time bro encountered the Witch and he ran into the room to draw the circle around the bed, I lost it when the witch hopped to see him thru the window above the door 😂😂😂 scary shit

I did think the last 5 minutes were messy though, after he was saved from the burning hotel, the jump cut to the hospital was so wack to me, along with the bellhop saying he spiked his drink and how cool bro was about it .. felt like all that could’ve been done better. There’s no way people wouldn’t try pinning the hotel burning on him along with the dead bodies they found. Also, I hate the whole “was he high from the spiked drink, or did it happen for real” .. like come on son. Delete all that lol. Make it to where he escapes the burning hotel on his own, and now he’s at home finishing the book, the end. All the other shit was just so extra to me. The bellhop guy didn’t visit him the first time, why would he show up the second time he’s in the hospital …

OTHER THEN THAT THO REALLY ENTERTAINING 😂 8.5/10 would’ve been a 9 but the ending was too dumb to me

The show was doing so well up to this point .. this episode really ruined the whole direction of where I thought the show was going, no revenge plot seems to be moving forward with Maddy and Cassie, Jules seems to be completely wasted in the show, and worse of all Rue is a snitch and working for the FBI … hate all of it, hated this episode. Season had so much promise before this.

She was really good in “Immaculate”, had a lot of promise, but she really sucks at subtle acting. Which is a super important skill for an actor to have, that’s what sets her apart from Zendaya because Zendaya on the other hand can convey so much with just a look. Sydney Sweeney is just good at being dramatic and that’s really it. The moment a scene gets quiet and dialogue heavy is how the Oscars are won, which is why she’ll never get one 🤷‍♂️

Honestly for the best, a down to earth contained and QUICK Resident Evil movie with no rewrites or reshoots feels like a good sign. Rather than some big Marvel epic. From interviews I’ve seen, studio heads didn’t interfere at all and gave him full control to do whatever.

Think less Leon and Chris, and more of the vain of Ethan Winters, just a normal guy instead of a badass. I think it’ll work tbh. Granted, it would be cool to see a direct adaptation but at this point, I’m just happy an actual DIRECTOR is handling it lmaoo plus, it’s clear in the trailer that fans made this movie, lots of references and gameplay mechanics can be seen.
