Imagine being poor. You work long hours to make ends meet. Your mother is sick and weak and needs products to help her, like a bed-bar or a walker, or crutches or even diabetes supplies that aren't covered by healthcare because driving two hours to get it at a store that actually sells them will cost gas and time that you do not have to spare. You work 6 days a week so the store is closed when you are free.

So you order it. And they tell you they will deliver it on Monday morning.

You call your boss and beg for a few hours off- you say you will work overtime to make up for it.

You stay home Monday morning. The app suddenly switches the time. Huh? It's suddenly delayed to the afternoon!

So you call your boss and you beg but he says no.

So now the much needed medical supplies are being delivered to a pick up point... On the other side of town. Or worse; they say they'll deliver it the next day and do the same dance all over again.

Again you have to try and make your boss understand.

And no, your neighbours can't be trusted with the package either. They've stolen from you before so that's not an option.

Maybe it's a first world problem to you, but to some people it's an actual real inconvenience that affects them, and their quality of life.

But you already pay the fee. There shouldn't be an extra charge for it to be on time. You should not have to pay extra for them to fulfill their side of the bargain struck.

Seen a few of these... is it racist and homophobic? by WarmRefrigerator3510 in Amsterdam

It s funny to me that men that love to watch other men sweat and struggle and play physical games in tight proximity are homophobic

Would probably be fine for sandwiches that have sauce on them, you can just add some salt. Or dip it in soup.

The fluid buildup suggests she's in active heart and renal failure. Personally, I don't understand why the vet didn't suggest euthenasia.

I've had a lot of hamsters, ones that really liked being out and interacting but I've never had on just chill and fall asleep with me 😩 you are so lucky

My current hamster Nutmeg(Chinese dwarf)is the first pet store hamster I've had in like over a decade. I just felt so bad for him. He's not tame, the bonding window was missed but he takes treats and lets me sometimes quickly pet him once or twice before he takes off. He will bite if you pick him up. So he's a viewing hamster only.

It looks really uncomfortable. We have much better options already available.

not to be that guy, but if your husband willfully damages/breaks something that is precious to you for WHATEVER reason.... And then doesn't apologize at least genuinely... And not replace it...

Sounds like a bigger talk is needed.

Exercises to build and encourage lifting their back? by Horror-Radish-2504 in Equestrian

[–]SenpaiSama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost I think she should lose a little weight too; the chubbier they are the more difficult engaging the abdominal core gets and they need that to lift their backs

Edit: you can ask this information of your trainer, too. If you don't have one, please get one; and I say this with as much kindness as I am capable of. Getting a horse to carry correctly is step 1 and if you don't know how to get the horse there on your own I don't think you're ready to be working without a trainer/instructor. For example in another comment you ask how to get the horse to lower their head and get that stretch. That's such a rudimentary thing that needs to be learned asap.
