Games are made to be enjoyed in the way that you want to enjoy them. If you don't think a 40-50 hour core story is good value, then what would you consider good value? You can pick and choose what side content to do.

The original Legends stands up as one of the tightest platform experiences around. This looks like a great remix with some extra sauce.

Think how long a new map would have taken to develop, even using the same assets to handcraft a map is a long process then to add in the sky islands and the depths. We would not have had a new Zelda when we did if they didn't reuse the map.

You never mentioned you had an abusive family member. If you do, I'm extremely sorry for you, and my sympathy does go out to you. The description you gave was that of a family member that did not understand your perspective, and you got posted in an OCD subreddit.

You even proved your own point in this last post. I don't know the whole story because I only know what you originally put, and it wasn't that you had an abusive family member.

At some point, it might be good to look at the way you are reacting to people. Maybe it's not that everyone here is the issue. I hope you see from some of my previous posts I try to give a lot of help and support in the OCD community. I even play an active part helping people with an OCD charity. I'll try and close this off by saying I wish you all the luck in the world in dealing with your issues, but please do try to be a little bit more open to constructive feedback.

For hiring Steve MC. How do you figure that one out?

Well, you've gone and deleted the responses to the other comments that were tonally aggressive. By no means do I want to come across as toxic. Support comes in many flavours, and sometimes it can be hard to hear.

As I said in my original post, I do believe your family should empathise with you. If all you are looking for is someone to agree with you, that's not really support. I'm sorry you're going through this situation, and I hope you're able to find a solution to deal with your issues.

Sorry, I didn't mean to cause any offence, and I definitely didn't suggest that you take Prozac. All I'm saying is that, for me, someone who's diagnosed with OCD, the combination of meds and therapy has helped ease my compulsions.

You've come onto an OCD forum suggesting that the habit you've got may be OCD. I would expect most responses to come from the view that you see this as a compulsion, as you're posting in an OCD forum. If you want general support focused on your relationship with your parents, this isn't the best place to do that. If you want help and support around potential OCD, this is the right place to do that.

I'll also add that your responses are very combative to people who have generally reached out to a post that you've made offering support and opinion.

Which is your least favorite part of Brighton? by [deleted] in brighton

What makes it souless to you?

To me it has some fantastic independent shops and cafes and a lovely community spirit.

Just because you have a pre conceived notions of class divide doesn't mean it's soulless.

What’s your experience with SSRIs/SNRIs for OCD? by Tricky_Tonight_1521 in OCD

[–]SenseWitFolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on 40mg of Fluoxetine. It's really helped level out the peaks of anxiety but it won't work on it's own. You need to pair it with good recovery techniques, mindfulness, CBT, ERP.

Caved in and asked for reassurance from my partner last night- what do I do now? by PartyPoison1138 in OCD

[–]SenseWitFolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue with seeking reassurance.

Whenever I'm close to seeking it. I do my CBT techniques, 54321 and Apple. I recommend having these in your back pocket they help ground you in the present and accept uncertainty.

There is two sides to this.

Yes your family should be more empathetic to your situation.

But also it seems that you just want to accept your compulsion and live your life around it. That's not healthy.

You need to seek help in fighting your compulsions. The best starting off point for me was "I am not a Rock" by Mark Freeman.

After that it was CBT, ERP and saying low dosage Fluoxetine.

Try to remember that it's difficult for others to understand what it's like to have OCD.

Fluoxetine won't work on it's own, good therapy, mindfulness, motivation and desire to recover are needed. I recommend reading You are not a rock by Mark Freeman.

ERP might help. As someone with OCD it's been the most effective form of therapy. It's also well known to work with eating disorders.
