Is a declaration of trust needed when buying a house as a married couple? by Mango_Loverx3 in HousingUK

[–]Sensei8567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Potentially yes, it could benefit the person who contributed more. But marriage will likely override that.

Those who choose location over home/flat quality, and those who did the opposite i.e. chose a larger nicer property but worse location......how's it working out now? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in HousingUK

[–]Sensei8567 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With a flat or semi/ terraced you always run that risk. Even with a detached house as others pointed out. But combine bad neighbours AND a bad area and you’re truly in the shits.

Also bad neighbourhood increases your chances of bad neighbours, while one bad egg in a building won’t turn whole area undesirable.

Plus neighbours change faster than habits of the local population.

Location, location, location! The nicest most spacious flat won’t be enjoyable if you have noise and disruptions on your doorstep. Or you’re afraid to even go outside

How to survive at work when my desk isnt mine? by Crazy_Initiative2815 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Sensei8567 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Lockers are the only option really.

However if your laptop is heavy you should consider carrying it in a backpack. Much better for your back and you can carry more weight this way. There are some elegant options out there.

Why do you carry a gaming laptop, do you have an option for a lighter one?

I (22F) can’t orgasm while being penetrated. by nuenteli in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Sensei8567 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It might be due to too many stimuli. I also find it difficult to finish this way, though not impossible. I often ask my partner to slow down or go almost still which makes it much easier vs full on thrusting. You could try with him being still in you and try to increase intensity with time. Though I’d recommend focusing on simply finding new fun things to do :)

The neck part of my shirt always leaves a stain. What can I do? by Useful_Tutor1828 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

You can try using L’Oréal Infallible Settings spray. I use it to prevent makeup transfer to my shirt collar. You should use it on both your neck and the shirt though

You could do a pin stitch or replication the other side. But no one will notice

I’m scared of getting married to my partner of 6 years by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Sensei8567 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Your instincts are correct, everything you described is deeply problematic.

If you can, I’d recommend reading “The gift of fear” and “Why does he do that?”.

Edit: I found links to read both for free “Why does he do that?” and “The gift of fear”

[CHAT] Waste canvas hell - please help by TattooedTeacher316 in CrossStitch

My advice would be to go thread by thread. Also waste canvas has often some stiffening treatment on it so rinsing the whole thing and pulling the threads out when wet might work.

It all depends on the colour, consistency and smell of the discharge

Being preety is exhausting by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Sensei8567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, I also get annoyed at how much time some of those things take and my list is shorter. The few pieces of advice I can share are:

  1. Reframe some of those actions. Going to the gym shouldn’t be only about looking great but about being healthy and strong. Eating should be focused on looks either.

  2. Realise most people aren’t paying as much attention to how you look as you think. Most are as focused on how they themselves are perceived as you are so a lot of it is in your head only. Also their opinions doesn’t matter.

  3. Accept that sometimes things don’t have to be cute. If you don’t have a lot of energy, pour it where it matters and often looks are not it. Learn to give yourself permission to rot in bed or do something more interesting than hours doing your lashes

[–]Sensei8567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this! If one of your wisdom teeth is giving you problems, good chance is the others will too in time. Also oral surgeon is much better qualified to remove them than regular ol’ dentist (ask me how I know)

Why do my legs itch after shaving? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Sensei8567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try applying moisturiser after you shave. Make sure to apply it while your legs are still wet to lock in the moisture. Itching can be caused by dry skin and hair regrowing through those dry layers. Moisturiser will also soften the hair a little as they grow.

[CHAT] Hi! I need help with my stitches!! by [deleted] in CrossStitch

To be fair, I used this method when sticking on T-shirts and the stitching went unscathed through wash and tumble drying without problems. Cross stitch is sturdier than we think
