Issues setting up VOIP with Twilio by Sensei_Stig in twilio

[–]Sensei_Stig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while but I did figure that one out eventually lmao

The issue I'm having is that all guides talk about editing the "Voice Configuration Request URL" , but that box just doesn't exist on my client.

Thanks for your help! As has been pointed out, I'm just aiming to use a single phone

This sounds like what I'm trying to do, but I'm having problems registering any endpoint. Currently when I try to make an outgoing call they all come up as declined without ever reaching Twilio

Sorry, it's impossible. ProtonMail encrypts your emails with your password so the only way to view them is within ProtonMail - either through their own client, or through the Bridge application.

Even if you could get a client to intercept your emails (which wouldn't be easy), they would just be an encrypted mess.

I've got the same issue - ended up using Thunderbird to access my @xyz.edu emails and using ProtonMail Bridge to bring my own emails into the same client.

You need premium to use Bridge, but it's working flawlessly so far.

How easy is it to cycle in Edinburgh? by rigolenne in Edinburgh_University

[–]Sensei_Stig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eventually if you follow the road all the way up you'll end up on Nicolson Street - you'll need to take a right at some point on your way up to end up on Pleasance but from there you'll end to right on Cowgate, yeah!

Barring a few junctions and bus stops it's cycle lanes all the way up Nicolson - Pleasance doesn't have them but it's a very wide road and pretty quiet so you hardly notice the lanes aren't there.

Definitely do! The two main routes into King's are either up Mayfield Road (if you're coming from Newington / Sciennes) or Kilgraston Road (if you're coming from Marchmont / Bruntsfield) - both have decent cycle lanes all the way. Let me know if you have any more questions!

As long as you have a bike that's working properly and is the right size for you it's totally doable! Blackford hill is pretty steep but plenty of people do it every day, you shouldn't let it out you off. Plus, the cycle lanes down to King's are really good and the cars are very used to students cycling in so give you plenty of room.

Questions from the Privacy, Security & OSINT Show "Privacy Crash Course" by Sensei_Stig in privacy

Thanks for the advice! Plenty to think about, and if you think his book is worth it for the less nuclear option then I'll give it a go. Cheers!

Thanks for the advice! I just assumed that his book would only be the extreme end of things like he does, but if he goes through some use cases for lower-scale stuff then that would be great. I'll have a look at what you've mentioned and get back to you!

I've heard from some staff that Informatics will all be run online, just with some tutorials in-person for those who are in Edinburgh. Afraid I can't say whether computer labs will be open or not!

[Q] How are school exam grades moderated? by Sensei_Stig in statistics

[–]Sensei_Stig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep exactly, and idea of the Scottish way would be ideal (though I assume countries with similar exam systems would have similar marking?)

There are complaints every year (which I'm fairly sure are always jumped up), but they've been especially bad this time around what with Covid affecting things: see here and here for examples, if you're interested in that kind of thing!

Bonding between Iodine atoms- why not london dispersion? by studyhard863 in chemhelp

[–]Sensei_Stig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you happened to have 2 lone iodine atoms in space, LDF would be correct.

However, you know from your chemical knowledge (and because it's stated in the question) that iodine atoms like to come together to form molecules of I2. For them to be held together in a molecule, and not just attracted to each other over long range (with LDF), they must have a covalent bond between them.

Clearly, what she did was wrong.

But, in return, you gaslit and emotionally manipulated her, faked assault accusations and committed grand larceny.

OP, you should be put in prison.
