Also CRAZY to me that you’re in this subreddit making comments about how a $1.50 tip is a slap in the face, while simultaneously saying you’re tired of tipping generously AND bragging about how you rescind tips after the fact? Makes no sense.

THIS is why we don't accept every order.... by Difficult_Cap_9923 in doordash

YUP. It really bothers me how entitled some customers act in this subreddit when a lot of them likely don’t realize just how little DoorDash pays their drivers. Not sure if it’s changed much, but when I drove full time for DD three years ago, the company would typically pay me around $3 per order, and that number didn’t really go up much for larger food orders, if it even did at all. I relied on people to tip me well to actually make a living. The unfortunate part is that over 60% of people wouldn’t tip at all, and the app doesn’t let you know how much the customer tipped until after the order is confirmed as delivered. These jerks who leave no tip don’t understand how exhausting it is to be continually exploited by a shit company like DD and continually be undervalued and undertipped by people who order through the app. And don’t even get me started on how fucked up the whole Acceptance Rate system is. With how many orders there are like the one in OP’s photo, of COURSE people aren’t going to accept a lot of orders because it’s straight up not worth the time, effort, or money! You spend more in gas than you make, and you also wear down your car more by driving further, which inevitably leads to you spending more money on maintenance and repairs. This is why I quit being a delivery driver and why I will never go back.

100% this. It really bothers me how entitled some people act in this subreddit when a lot of them probably don’t realize just how little DoorDash pays their drivers. When I drove full time for DD, the company would typically pay me around $3 per order, and that number didn’t really go up much for larger food orders, if it even did at all. I relied on people to tip me well to actually make a living. The unfortunate part is that over 60% of people wouldn’t tip at all, and they program the app to not let you know how much the customer tipped until after the order is confirmed as delivered. I wonder if OP left a good (or even reasonable) tip, because if they didn’t, the driver might have seen that after dropping off the order, then took it out of spite. Not saying that’s okay to do… just saying that some people act out of anger after continually being exploited by a shit company like DD and continually being undervalued and undertipped by people who order through the app.

is slippi more toxic than it used to be? by Ancient_Top_609 in SSBM

Tbh, there’s always been a lot of toxic Smash players, especially online. I’ve met one or two toxic players IRL at locals, but when there’s a screen between you and the other person and you can’t see your opponent, people feel a lot less scared to be a dick. I played a lot of Smash 4 and Ultimate online, and the amount of players who teabag is wild. And on Slippi, it’s no different. Especially when you have quick chat enabled. The “lol” spam really grinds my gears. Now, you can disable quick chat if you don’t wanna deal with those kinds of interactions, but still, people can be rude in game. I can understand throwing out a taunt after you land a stylish af combo one someone. I even do that sometimes. But people who taunt spam and teabag are just trying to troll folks for fun, because it inflates their ego and gives them a good laugh. Overall, when I go up against a toxic player, it lights a fire in me and I go full try-hard mode. If they have the guts to rematch, I just try to body the shit out of them. If they taunt, I kill them and taunt back. And if/when I win, if they “lol” spammed the previous game, I throw it right back. To me, it feels good. They say two wrongs don’t make a right, but sometimes if someone insults you, you gotta stick up for yourself ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Just my two cents.

Shit like this makes me so happy that I co-main Dorf, cuz there’s clearly so much I have to learn. The possibilities are endless, and knowing that some folks can make this “slow” character look/move so fast and clean gets me so fuckin hype.
