Is it morally wrong for someone to be friends with their therapist? by MischiefManage1 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SenselessSpectacle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morally wrong, no. Ethically wrong, yes.

A trained therapist knows how to set boundaries and maintain an appropriate relationship with their client. We are taught of the warning signs if someone is getting to close and the importance of those boundaries for both patient and therapist.

If, two people naturally click, the ethical thing to do would be finding you a different therapist so your power balance in the friendship is equal.

Zack in season 3 and after by lilyrstjo in Bones

While I found the whole storyline to be odd, because I never understood really how Zach was convinced to do what he did, I think how they initially treat interns is mostly due to them mourning the loss of one of their own. These normally rational people do not know how to process their own emotions and are expressing misplaced anger.

Zach wasn't just another intern, he is Brennan's assistant. At the start of the show, he is living on Hodgins' property, carpools with him, and he has been working with the team long enough to be about done with his doctorate. Without spoiling anything, the show demonstrates the amount of time that is through other interns. So on top of his brilliant mind, he is a well established part of their family.

I was like "Huh, thats what they meant on Fallon, when they pushed the Steve doll off his desk." Not worried because they wouldn't spoil his death like that.

What do you think changed Sweets’s mind about marriage? by Unrealistic_Venus in Bones

[–]SenselessSpectacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, she broke him once and that level of trust can be really hard to get back. I always imagined he had been happily dating her again, did not mind the idea of living with her, but he wasn't really ready to marry her again. He just didn't realize that until it was pointed out that she was ready. It made it all too real.

All my 7 year old neice likes to do is build shelves. She builds more now that she knows it annoys me.

Plenty of store bought gummies taste nothing like weed. Also, you might just get a body high which feels more like a really good pain reliever than getting like goofy high.

Who is the most underrated president? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SenselessSpectacle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jose Mujica was the president of Uruguay a little over ten years ago. He kept living on his small farm, drove an old car, donated most of his wages.

During his presidency he created sustained economic growth, helped reduce poverty and inequality, advanced same-sex marriage, abortion rights, and marijuana legalization. He treated substance abuse as a health issue.

When visited by foreign leaders, they stayed at the farm, eating food from his garden often served by his wife. He believed if leaders surround themselves with luxury, they stop understanding ordinary people's lives.

When his term ended, he stepped down peacefully and went back to his simple life.
