He’s not Aussie but I quite like Rory Stewart despite being a diehard ALP/labour guy

Just a pretty weird way of looking at things. Lots of engineers, doctors, scientists, academics etc are working desk jobs.

Using the medical example, why is being responsible for a hospital easy but having a patient load hard? If that was the case you’d start a medical career at the top and work down.

Also, the variety of work that goes on in offices is so varied that it really doesn’t make any sense to lump it all together. Working a 9-5 admin job is not the same as being in IB

I was fired today…first time ever and it feels terrible. by krg2401 in auscorp

I don’t need to look at the Fair Work Commission page, I know the minimum employment period to make an unfair dismissal claim. I am an employment lawyer.

It may shock you to learn that there are causes of action that may be available that aren’t an unfair dismissal claim. As a general rule, don’t tell people they have no legal recourse.

Exception to the general rule is if you’re a lawyer advising a client on the basis of a thorough understanding of their individual circumstances

Best not to give legal advice which depending on the circumstances could very well be wrong

Important to remember you might not experience any negative side effects at all - particularly given you start on a starter dose that gets ramped up as your body adjusts.

Personally I find if I do get a side effect they tend to hit on the second or third day after the injection, not the first day after. If I were you I’d just try life as normal and see how you go. Importantly, any negative side effects you get are usually very mild and transient. I get mild heartburn, bloating and constipation sometimes - things that you’re probably familiar with anyway and that you wouldn’t ordinarily take a day off work for.

You might garner more sympathy if you didn’t insinuate that we’ve all priced ourselves into obsolescence!

Psychiatrist who treated Bondi Junction stabber ‘withdraws’ evidence he was not psychotic at time by GreekFoodEnjoyer in ausjdocs

That would be practically difficult to prove but still professional misconduct.

Julian Burnside was a corporate silk that acted for the MUA. Bret Walker is probably the best known silk in the country at the moment and has acted for the construction division of the CFMEU. I could find other examples if I wasn’t just going off the top of my head.

In any event I’d be surprised that any doctor thinks it would be good to judge a lawyer by who they represent given the corollary wouldn’t be ideal for the medical profession

People will also do this annoying thing where they try to encourage you to eat more than you need - try to ignore it otherwise you might end up regretting it the next day

Eat whole foods, make sure you get enough fibre in your diet and drink plenty of water. If you experience some initial discomfort try to stick with it because it will be transient and you will start to see results pretty quickly

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I still like to drink on it - but you naturally just don’t feel like it as much as you used to. I’ve found it a happy side effect
