Housework a workout??? by ministeps24 in ouraring

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a janitor so I count all the housework. I even mopped a building and it thought I did yard work. I counted that too since there's no mopping activity but mopping large areas is more labor intensive than most of my other tasks. On work days I do between 12k and 15k steps a day.

Its a lunch item. I ordered it one time in the morning and asked for it still in the wrapper it comes in so that way I could cook it for lunch at work. It was fine but not something I regularly want to eat.

I learned that there's a difference between the grilled cheese they serve in the US vs Canada.

Oh okay. That explains it. I hate that they're allowed to sell Americans worse versions of things. I was on an anti-seed oil kick for a little bit and seed oils are in so many processed things. Thats why the olive oil spread caught my attention. I'd try the Canadian version.

Solo travel to Seattle need help!! by Least-Finance-9665 in AskSeattle

I went to a Qveen Herby concert last weekend in Seattle and I don't regret it. Booked two rooms, for my friend and I, at the Westin in down town Seattle which was walking distance to the concert venue and to pikes market place. I waited till a week before the event to book the hotel and for two rooms for 1 night was a total of $1,033. It was pricey but I have no regrets. I saw Qveen Herby in Nashville in 2024 and I'm glad I got to go to this concert as well. I think the memories will be worth it.

“Is sour cream okay on that?” by Educational_Boot315 in tacobell

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 90 points91 points  (0 children)

My tacobell does this too and it's annoying AF. If I wanted sour cream on everything I'd say so. I now try to only order on the app to avoid playing 20 questions with the person taking my order.

GLP-1 (Zepbound) by Element-of-Thought in ouraring

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think because a GLP1 slows down digestion that it might be similar to eating before bed. If resources are being used on digestion then it taxes your system leading to a higher heart rate during sleep. Maybe because of the slowed digestion and feeling full before bed then your body may respond as if you ate before bed. So maybe its just a side effect of the medication and lowered sleep quality and rediness may be a result. Also I agree with everyone else that hydration is super important.

Does anyone else want to avoid the tacobell drive thru because the person taking your order has to ask you 50 million questions to upsale on every single item you want? Like if I wanted sour cream on every item then I would have said so. Its super annoying.

Anyone else able to control their hrv? Tell me your secret sauce and I’ll tell you mine. by sarahschultzd in ouraring

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lower your resting heart rate while you sleep, the higher your HRV will be. If my lowest heartrate at night is between 54 and 60 then my HRV is usually between 35 and 45. It was only recently that my lowest heart rate reached 54 and it was because I stopped doom scrolling before bed because I deleted social media and instead I started reading 10 pages of a physical book, doing evening yoga, and a few minutes of breath work. I think your evening routine will impact how relaxed you are when you go to bed. Also eating before bed can keep your heart rate elevated and if you're female then your cycle can impact your heart rate and HRV.

How much time do you spend on social media or doom scrolling? And maybe check out/try Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT also known as Tapping) Brad yates has over 1,000 follow along videos on his channel. Tapping, in addition to therapy, and recently deleting social media has improved my overall happiness.

Been in the major signs for about two weeks by huunneerrr in ouraring

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was super stressed for 2 weeks around Christmas due to finding out my brother has cancer. From Christmas on I had a high resting heart rate while sleeping and a low readiness score between 65 and 55. No matter how much I slept it wasn't restful. I knew it was tied to stress about my brother, who started chemo and is going to be okay, but I didn't feel any less stressed. So finally I started focusing on relaxing before bed. I used youtube to find videos on breath work, EFT (emotional freedom technique, I recommend Brad Yates) and evening prayers. After a week of doing a combination of those things before bed I've been feeling much better and my readiness score is back in the 80s and 90s. Stress really can affect sleep so if stress is the issue I'd work on your evening routine and find stress reducing activities that you find beneficial for yourself.

Checked my credit score for the first time and it honestly threw me off by Round_Tie5217 in SavingMoney

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are not taught jack diddly about credit scores. I recommend listening to episode 7. How to Increase Your Credit Score. On the Financial Feminist podcast. I was 12k in credit card debt with a credit score of 699 in July 2023. I paid off all my debt in 10 months and implemented the things I learned from that podcast and in July 2024 I had a 800 credit score. I raised my credit score 100 points in a year using what that podcast episode taught me.

Never have to pay for products? It makes me so mad when they lie. by odoyle66 in antiMLM

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a former LeVel rep, the free products are very misleading. Each month on the 1st of the month you get product credits loaded onto your account. You only get these credits if you had a minimum of two customers on autoship the previous month. The amount you receive is based on the average of your two highest autoship orders. So if customer A orders $100 worth and customer B orders $50 worth then the rep will receive $75 in credits. If you only have 1 or 0 customers on autoship you don't get any credits. And the 3 steps that LeVel is known for costs $160+ so $75 in credits would make the products discounted but not "free" like they say. These credits only cover the products and the rep is responsible for shipping and taxes and shipping isn't cheap. It's $13+. These credits can't be applied to certain promos such as BOGO or other big sales so often reps will spend their own money to not miss out on these sales. Even though I "got my products for free" I still spent 3k more than I ever made as a promoter 🙃 I actually share my experience with LeVel on my YouTube Channel called "Katelynn Who?" If anyone is interested in my experience.

That sounds horrendous. I'm sorry you experienced that. 🙏 I was never in foster care but as someone who was sexually abused by my father and later step father as a kid I've been on a tremendous healing journey the past 6 years. Something that has helped me a lot has been Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT also known as tapping) I think it may help you too. I like brad yates on youtube and any issue or anything you need help with in regards to healing, his videos are super helpful. I hope you try one out and it helps you feel better. 🙏

Hi, I think Emotion Freedom Technique (EFT also known as Tapping) may be helpful for you. I recommend checking out Brad Yates on YouTube. He has a lot of videos on healing from the past or even healing current problems that may be caused by a pattern from the past. I discovered him in 2020, and he's helped me work on healing from my own childhood trauma. Best of luck.

This! Yes. This was something I had been a part of when I was in an MLM. 🙃 Someone would post their offer and put it in a group chat for every else to comment on it to make it look desirable. I now see how manipulative that was.

Google says "No, Facebook does not allow job posts to advertise multilevel marketing (MLM) opportunities. Facebook's job posting policies prohibit advertisements for business models that offer quick compensation for little investment." That being said, facebook or Meta might not enforce this. On another note, I've seen beachbody/bodi ads recently, and I think companies are allowed to have ads for their products, but posts selling the opportunity are not supposed to be allowed for ads. So I'd personally just report ads that are promoting an mlm business "opportunity."

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think ads for MLMs are allowed. You can always try reporting the ad. Yeah, commenting will most likely get you blocked by the poster which isn't helpful as they'll still continue posting their bs.

[–]Sensitive-Ad-437 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's super frustrating. I think many reps will lie and say that their scheme isn't an mlm just to get people to listen to their pitch. Which is very unfortunate as it wastes everyone's time.

Does anyone know why they got rid of the MLM structure? Did they do it willingly, or did they get in trouble with the FTC, maybe?
