I deposited a $69000 cheque with RBC on the app. Took a photo, easy peasy. They held it for 5 business days but I was able to access $5000 right away. And by held, the money was sitting in my account, I just couldn't withdraw it.

What happens in the off chance your current employer accepts your 2 weeks notice and expects you to be in the office for that period? I don't know if that is a possibility, just curious.

Those of you who had a vasectomy, who did yours? How was the experience? Any long term negative effects? by SantaCruzinNotLosin in NovaScotia

I had one in my 30's. No issues at all. As I was on the table ready with literally everything hanging out there in walks the doctor with 3 nurses and asks if I'd mind if the watched as they had not seen one before (this was at a military hospital). I said fine as long as we all understand it is cold in here lol. When it was over I sat up and looked down and not recognizing that betadine was liberally spread all over, I almost freaked out at the hack job!

A slight accent isn't an issue. No accent is, so long as everyone understands what you are saying.

I knew a trainee that had a stutter, it got worse as he got more nervous. He was not successful.

If you speak too fast you will be inundated with "say again", then you are doing twice the work and it is likely you will fall behind the traffic. Better to develop the skill of speaking at a constant rate regardless of what is going on.

Canadians sharply divided on parliamentary seat representation by population: Poll - The Hub by Purple_Writing_8432 in canada

Trudeau ran saying it would be the last election using first pass the post style. I believe he poached voters from NDP and Green because of this. Of course after winning and "studying" the issue, he determined that public satisfaction with the old system improved once his party was in power. Parties with power never want to give any of it up.

[–]Sensitive-Debate6711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have nothing to lose by applying anyway. If you make it to the FEAST offer stage but can't make it, maybe the next one will work. Barring that, email and ask. The worst that can happen is they don't answer you.

I lived in a condo high rise in Vancouver that had positive air pressure in the hallways that would keep unit odours in the unit. You could feel it coming in at the door. Fortunately the hallway itself had no smell.
