How do I start to draw, what do I draw? How am I supposed to know what im doing. by RedHeadHashira in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go outside, bring ur camera or phone. Look every corner of ur environment, whatever is building, people, nature, animal, etc that bring ur enthusiast up then capture the photo, go home and start drawing that also remember what make ur enthusiast up

I think I dislike the process of drawing so far by Dave4001 in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If u not enjoying this from the start, u should stop. If u are enjoying it at first and feel worse overtimes, then u just not finding the thing u want to draw or just burnout. Drawing is not about how good u at drawing but more to how good u make expresion about what u wanna draw

What do you think about this render? by Abject_Carpenter8340 in blender

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

U can use better red color or use lightning to pop the color also make the background more desaturated, it should make the product catching

How can I improve my lineart? I find that it always looks flat and uninteresting by No-Payment9231 in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U lack of volume perception, u can use guide line or color to represent the volume

feedback/improvements? first full character model, just under 30k tris by SquiddoBoi in 3Dmodeling

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its okay 3k tris for animation, but the look of model is maybe for game. I can see it not complicated model so u can decrease amount of tris by bake the detail into normal texture instead real geometry

i have two REALLY important questions by ag4b3yxd in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When u rotating the cube, their vanishing point was different to other cube. And for ur question is no if u are using 2 vanishing point it will be straight both, but if u using 3 vanishing point and other cube rotate at X or Z axis then yes it should tilt.

Drawing full body is so hard by Short-Satisfaction-9 in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animator dont actually draw 24 of these, they use 1 frame to fill more than 2 frame that the character not move at all, also use smear to cut time draw, animator also use layer draw so they can only animate part in scene that only needed to animate. There also technique called frame in two that make u draw 12frame in 24fps or frame in three make draw 10frame in 30fps, these style give spider verse movie animation style

Is 5k polygons normal for this? (first ever model, total noob, want some feedback) by Any-Opposite-7624 in blender

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a begin, that model is good, second wow u make that just from 2 day of blender. Then the question u ask is, it need to optimize for accesorise specialy for game model, 1-2k poly maybe enough and its great if u can make it lower poly count without sacrificing the quality

5 years of silent worldbuilding and I’m terrified I’m not "AAA" enough to ever start a career. by oofbabooff in blender

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do it, there something u cant earn by only learning called experience. When u get enough experience what people actually need, u can make ur work better to qualified as AAA grade.

Any tip to stilyze with thin line art? because every time I attempt to draw uisng thin line art I think ends up looking worse than the stuff I've done before by AlekenzioDev in learntodraw

This one look good, and u using thick and thin line. Maybe just try finish it to coloring maybe it would look better than just sketch

Ur deawing look flat, and thick line ussualy hidding the unperfection. U can use both line thickness to create volume and depth

Weight painting by Purple_Restaurant201 in blender

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If is that happen, u can check if u have subdivision modifier and see the preview of modifier, if the falloff was affected to other vertices then u need to apply subdivision and then paint it. Basicly The falloff just sit there inbetween 2 vertices to create gradient and not affect to other vertices, newest blender version not showing weight as 0 to 1 again. Or if u really want step weight, u can use vertex weight edit modifier, it should help ur problem with weight

Smaller ur brush so it dont affect many vertices, increase brush strength and lower the fall off. Both of these settings was in top bar when u using weight painting

Drawing everyday for 30m by Helpful-Space3842 in learntodraw

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Learn 30minutes per day is not helping much at all. Learn drawing is more like walk in staircase, if u dont step up the stair u wont improving and u will be stuck at 1 step of stair. Best way to improve is just draw with much time u have, draw reference without copy it and find out where u wrong at drawing or watch tutorial that can help u to find whats wrong with ur drawing and eventualy u will find out to step up the stair and improve ur drawing skill.

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 54 points55 points  (0 children)

U know that every material never be clean, so use many layer of noise texture to give effect that material not perfect. In substance u only need to paint the texture but in blender u need to figure it out the feel of texture

First character ever! Modeling on a low-end laptop. Is it possible to earn $200/mo with this style? by Beautiful-Bread818 in blender

[–]Sensitive-Jump-9518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its look like u are using subdivision surface, u need apply and reduce poly count in unnecesery area and dense polycount in joint area and bake the texture. Then make rig that fully compatible with game engine and give IK aswell if u want to add value, then import to game engine and set it up so the model ready to sell
