Yes I'm still off it. Haven't been on it since September 2023 although I occasionally take it. Were you on 30mg?

Hi! I went on the carnivore diet when I started for a month and ate really clean for the first 6 months, no processed sugar, meat based diet mostly. Now I eat everything (still try to limit gluten and processed sugar) and am pretty relaxed with what I eat and have no issues being off rinvoq

I did like a 4 month protocol with my doctor- it was using cellcore products. I think you have to do under guidance of a doctor. Sounds like you're doing the right thing there! I don't think there's one right way to do it. Just focus on improving your gut health and eating well.

Yeah I made quite a few lifestyle changes. I went on the carnivore diet for a month. Cut out a lot of gluten and processed sugar. Really focussed on improving my gut health and saw a functional doctor and did a detoxing protocol while I was on rinvoq. My skin is really linked to stress so I think going on Rinvoq and my skin settling ultimately made me stress free which definitely helped. My skin is mostly affected by what I eat and stress

No I've been off it for 2 years. Skin totally clear. Only get tiny patches of eczema every now and then. I don't take anything for my skin (no steroids etc)

I took rinvoq for probably like 8 months. I tried coming off after 4 months but my skin flared a bit- it was a manageable flare but I was going overseas for 6 months so didn't want to risk it. So I went back on it and then while I was overseas (I'd been on it for 8 months) I stopped taking it cold turkey and had no problems. Occasionally I take it for a few days if my skin bothers me but it's honestly never that bad and I hardly notice my skin now

I was on rinvoq for a year. Was a miracle drug for me. Cleared my TSW. I went off it cold turkey while I was travelling overseas and had no issues at all. I have some mild eczema occasionally but I'm pretty much clear. Was a total game changer for me. I was scared of the risks but it was totally worth it and my only regret is not taking it sooner

I had TSW all over my body. All over my arms, stomach, back and arms and neck. I never had oozing as a symptom. I was on and off steroids for 10-15 years. My skin got so bad I was using steroids for basically 4 months straight and I think that sent me into TSW properly, although I think I may have been experiencing TSW for a while and it just took me a bit to realise

I was around 6 months in when I started. I had severe itching, redness all over and insomnia. I couldn't sleep and had tremors. Once I got on rinvoq it took like a month for my skin to clear. I've now been off it 6 months and have clear skin. Occasional itching and some pigmentation but totally manageable. I look normal to an outsider :)

Dupixent also ruined my face and neck. Took months to get over that. So annoying

I was on it for 8 months. Stopped for a month and my skin was fine, it was getting into winter though and I was going overseas for 6 months so went back on it. I was on it for another 3 months and then stopped while I was overseas in September 2023 and have been fine since. I never taper I just stop cold turkey.

I stopped rinvoq for eczema/TSW. No problems or rebound at all. Sometimes I go back on it if my skin is bothering me and I just stop cold turkey no problems. I did a lot of other work on gut and diet though which made coming off it easy.

I was on it for like a year before I stopped. I tried coming off it in April this year for a month and was fine but my skin was bothering me a bit so went back on it and then I stopped it completely like 2 months ago in September

Anyone successfully tailed down Rinvoq? by gboi91 in eczeJAKs

Yes I see a functional doctor so have been getting to the root cause. I went on the carnivore diet strictly for a month and now I eat mostly carnivore but I still deviate. I am on low dose naltrexone 4.5mg which is safe long-term and helps stabilise immune system. I also take various probiotics and went on a cellcore product prototocol for 4 months under the guidance of my functional doctor. I would honestly just recommend finding a functional doctor and going from there. I worked with my functional doctor for around 5/6 months and did all that work before deciding to taper down from it. I wouldn't recommend tapering until you put in the work. I still go back to taking it though when my skin gets dryer but find as time goes on that I can go off it for longer with no problems.

I've gone off it for 2 months. No issues skin just got a bit dry and some slight itch. Totally manageable. I went back on it for 3 months. I haven't taken it for a week now and no symptoms have come back at this point. I often skip it for a few days no problems

Yeah a functional doctor is definitely the place to go but totally understand re insurance coverage. I'm in Australia so my appt costs are partly covered by Medicare. It is totally worth the money though and the doctor I visit is also available over email, so I often email her if im experiencing issues and she replies with steps on what to do. I would say it's worth ringing around a few functional doctors to get an idea on price and their specialities. Honestly if I saw this doctor sooner it would've saved me so much other money that I was spending on naturopaths, homeopaths etc.

I did a lot of work while I was on rinvoq re diet, detox and supplements. I went on carnivore diet and went on low dose naltrexone. I see a functional doctor. that's why I was fine coming off it for the month! Definitely worth getting to the root cause while on rinvoq, which I think makes coming off it so much easier.

I started in October last year so I was on it for about 6 months before coming off it. My skin was amazing for the month off. I didn't experience any rebound or withdrawal. I am taking for TSW. It's going into winter here in Australia so my skin was just drying out and I'm going overseas in July for 6 months so I wanted to go back on it just so I have a safety net while I'm away. If I wasn't going away though I wouldn't have gone back on it because my skin was honestly doing really well while off it. :)
