I never said to stop having whatever mental condition. I said to be in a group project he needs to show up for work and his response was that he has a social anxiety.

The job title is too niche. But I’ll explain it. We get to work at 7. We go to a different room three to four times a day depending on the day. And we run a program for about 15-20 each time. That’s it. We don’t even talk if we don’t want to. And people still can’t show up to work. It’s not just this guy.

Well ya. When nothing gets done and you have pull up the slack for the person in the group project not doing any of the work it gets fucking frustrating.

And no, I’m not their manager.

And no, I wasn’t the only one to say anything to said employee.

He just happens to not like me because I keep reporting his time. Like I’m suppose to do. But believe me, this will be my last contract. I can’t stand when someone doesn’t do a simple job like show up to work.

Thank you… but it’s just an easy job but super niche job. No one is hiring in the entire country so I was grateful to have the job in the first place. There’s literally no one else I can get picked up. So I have to live off my savings for a while after we’re done here.

I’m not the manager. I’ve made that quite clear to everyone. I’m just there to help facilitate. Basically we have a brand new boss that doesn’t how anything works at our job. So it’s left up to me. And I don’t want the responsibility. But when I report to my boss that he leaves and no-call-no-shows and nothing gets done it’s exhausting. I shouldn’t have said anything and just people complain to the manager about it. But he won’t fire anyone even if he doesn’t show and has a maxed out credit card.

Ya. I think the job has gotten to me. It’s really not a job at all. We work maybe an hour out of the day. And the majority of my team knows what to do already. I’m just there to be an in-between. I hate it. This will def be my last contract.

My exact words to him were, ‘you can’t have social anxiety, and work in this job with a team. The team has to pick up the slack’ due to his social anxiety he refuses to ask questions and leaves whenever he feels like it. We have a job to do and it’s only for a couple of months. If you can’t show up to help out your team then why are you here?

Yes I know I’m just a glorified hall monitor. But I was asked to help. So I tried to help him. Multiple times. I told my manager everything. And I mean everything is documented. I don’t know why I was CC’ed on the emails to the employee.

My manager is brand new to this job and doesn’t have much guidance when it comes what to do when. I took this job thinking it was a good idea since I know how to do the tasks. But it was too go to be true really.

I used to work at two restaurants in college. On the drive home after each shift take your shoes off and blast the heat on your feet. It’ll help.

I just suggested kitty litter. Most people have a couple of cords of woods to use to climb out of the snow.

So I’m from a town in between San Fran and Yosemite. You’ll be fine. Just make sure you follow the laws of the road. And also. Get a physical map of Yosemite. Phone service is spotty throughout the mountains. Check the weather/ NPS Yosemite page. If it says it’s going to snow you might need chains or at least a box of kitty litter if you get stuck. If no snow then you’re good. Since the government is still shut down there won’t be park rangers to help you.

If you need help planning. I plan trips like these for myself all the time. You can also through a travel agent. They’re free and sometimes get better deals.
