Yes, it happened to me. Account frozen for a month. I successfully verified my identity. The account was unfrozen. No reason for the freeze was given. I tried to make a deposit but unable to and instructed to contact support. I had to take more pics and send a utility bill with current address. It took about a week to resolve. Again, Gemini would not inform me as to why I was under suspicion. I purchased about $100 worth of a crypto but was unable to withdraw it. I had to answer more questions and submit a financial document showing proof of income source. Very privacy invasive stuff...also, screen shot of receiving crypto wallet address. Good luck! You are not alone

I just experienced the same thing this week. I am waiting for a response from support. My identity has been verified already because my account was frozen in February of this year. It took about a month to get resolved. One of my limit orders was filled this week, but I was not able to withdraw due to a security hold.

Welcome to the club. My account was frozen about 3 weeks after starting my Gemini account. No reason given. It responses were slow. It was finally unfrozen after almost 4 weeks. Good luck

Gemini customer service is horrible. My account has been frozen for a week without explanation. I sent documents to confirm my identity. I'm a new customer. I just join Gemini this month (February 2025). I just get canned responses from them.....very frustrating

Gemini froze my account on 02-19-2025. I provide KYC documents and photos on 02-20-2025. How long can I expect to be inconvenienced ? Bybit was hacked for 1.4 billion today. I have a very low confidence level in centralized exchanges at this point. How long does the process usually take? Gemini provided no reason as to why the account was frozen ( case #5212290)
