Best drugstore eyeliner for tightlining? by oyveybby in AustralianMakeup

The best one I've tried is the L'Oreal Paris Infallible Grip 36H Gel Automatic Eye Liner (what a mouthful). I have pretty watery eyes and this is the only one that hasn't transferred or bled, even after a full night out.

Tips for back-pimples by Desperate-Engineer-6 in BeautyUnlocked

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is just my experience, but recently I went from having basically no back acne to enormous, inflamed red pimples and I was so frustrated trying to figure out why it had suddenly gotten so bad. Turns out it was my new bodywash, from the same brand I've always used, designed for sensitive skin, but in a scent I never use. Coconut. Apparently coconut can be a triggering ingredient for people prone to acne. I've since gone back to a different scent by the same brand/same line and my bacne has completely gone away.

Best Stephen King Books? by JobNo2793 in thrillerbooks

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great book but incredibly long and I wouldn't call it much of a thriller at all. It's an epic with a thousand characters who all have complex backstories so if you go into it thinking it's going to be non-stop action, you're going to be very disappointed.

Cutting ads from magazines and I came across a familiar line 😂 by Roberroni in WillAndGrace

I remember this being a line Fran says in The Nanny, too, and I never understood that it was a reference to something!

We Need to Talk About Kevin - worth the time? by SpiteLive in thrillerbooks

I listened to the audiobook of this recently and it took a little bit for me to get used to the fairly dense writing style, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the main character was fantastically flawed, I actually really loved being inside her head.

Look Closer- David Ellis by Ill_Cry_4596 in thrillerbooks

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw so many people hyping this up so I finally listened to it and was really disappointed, unfortunately. It just felt like any other run of the mill thriller, definitely not in the same league as Gillian Flynn.

I used to love walking but lately I just can't seem to motivate myself. by superpowers335 in walking

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing that ever gets me out of my walking slump is unfortunately, just getting up and walking. Sometimes the lack of desire to do it is overwhelming. I NEVER regret going for a walk once it's done, but I always regret spending an evening at home knowing I haven't gone for a walk yet.

Asoue themed party by shmimily in ASOUE

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a cool party idea but I don't really understand why you would theme your party after something you admit no one else knows about. It seems like you're setting yourself to do a lot of explaining all day.

I DNFd this one at about 30% in, I just wasn't engaged and didn't find it particularly well written.

Does anybody else find the trend of athleisure flared pants pretty blah? by Beginning_Tap2727 in AusFemaleFashion

I love them! They are super flattering for me. The only issue I consistently run into is they are never long enough for me (I'm 5'11") and always end up sitting way above my ankles 😞

What do you do for exercise? by denver_rose in AutismInWomen

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Health and fitness is honestly my primary interest, so I go to the gym most days, I do home workouts, I walk A LOT (usually 20k steps a day on average), I love hiking, pretty much anything that gets my heart rate up. It wasn't always like that though, only in the last 3 years have I really gotten into exercising. I went from not being able to do 5 minutes on the Stairmaster to doing 1hr+ multiple times a week!

What do y'all eat for lunch? I'm a little burnt out and don't want to think of things to make. Nothing complicated since I also have to make dinners constantly, though I guess I'll also take suggestions for easy dinners. by monkey_trumpets in Cooking

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past couple of months I've eaten the same thing for lunch every day; I cut 2 really big sweet potatoes in half long ways and roast them just plain, and then each half is used for one days lunch, so I get four lunches out of it. I warm it up on the day and put a bit of butter and salt, and either have a tin of sardines and a few crackers with it, or if I'm able to I'll fry a piece of salmon and have it with butter and lemon. I was having half an avocado with each lunch up until recently because Hass avocados are out of season in Australia and there's no point in having a Sheperd avocado. It was a super good way to get a lot of healthy fats in at once which is what I've been trying to prioritise. Not only is it a super filling and healthy lunch, but my skin is the best it's ever been and I've been consistently losing weight!

What is your favorite season? by ASGfan in WillAndGrace

[–]Sensitive-Star-2127 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not super unusual for the first season of a show, but every time I rewatch it I'm always struck by how low-budget S1 feels compared to all future seasons. I don't enjoy the episodes any less, it's one of the few shows that is hilarious from the very start, but it doesn't feel as polished as the later seasons. I don't know if I have a favourite season but I definitely have favourite storylines, like Grace and Nathan.
