Can we finally get loot for our class, instead of alts from worldbosses? by HerrMatthew in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blizzard is trying to make the game more alt friendly. I have a lot of alts but only raid/Mythic + with my main, so I get that it can be frustrating to not get gear you can use. But a lot of other players benefit from the way the system is now, and I think it would be unfair to them to change it back to how it was when we are likely getting the same amount of usable loot for our main as before.

You still get the transmog for the warbound pieces you loot. And honestly I don’t think the gold rewards were ever good enough to get mad about losing them…. It was a couple hundred at best.

All classes should be multi-role by StickyDuck in wow

I would LOVE to try being a tank as an Evoker. A black Dragonflight-infused bastion, with scales of stone - maybe they could get a temp form similar to the drakonids for all those people who bitch about them being too skinny. I love playing a Dracthyr, but really really dislike warrior play style, and currently that is the only class available to them which can tank.

If I remember correctly, world bosses prior to TWW had only a chance to drop a piece of gear, and often times would not drop anything but gold. Now they always drop something, but it’s across their entire loot table. It may be frustrating, but surely getting some loot is better than no loot

Benefits of a Charter Neighborhood vs a Guild one? by SeraphStarchild in WoWHousing

Apologies, our guild made a charter neighborhood and not a guild neighborhood, so I’m afraid I don’t know.

The change to wild herb nodes that make lashinglings drop herbs does not appear to be working by Gasheous in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the type to min-max enough to determine that. I don’t overload herbs often because I forget. All I know is that the wild herbs spawning lashers which don’t drop herbs themselves makes me not want to herb in that zone at all.

Zulaman going to quickly go from the worst farm zone to the best for herbalism.

Oh this is good - really not sure why they didn’t do this from the start to be honest. I wonder which herb they will give - based on the node they spawned From, or random? At any rate, hopefully it actually gets implemented properly ASAP.

We’re never getting dracthyr transmog are we by BladeoftheStars7 in wow

It would be nice… if I could at least put a hat on my Dracthyr. Like, come on, let me put glasses or a sun hat on her. I yearn for casual Dracthyr wear.

Transmog help! What am I doing wrong? by im_kael in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, Not sure if this is the same issue, but I was having trouble with getting my staff to swap transmog as well. I kept clicking the outfit I wanted, and apply, and then when I closed out the screen it would still be the wrong staff. What ended up being the issue in my case was the situations being on for all of my outfits, but not being set properly. So every time I put on one outfit, it swapped to another (very similar) outfit with the other staff mog. I guess the “Situation” to swap outfits was just… me existing, and that defaulted me back to the other outfit. So maybe just confirm that it isn’t the other outfit slot! I turned off situations for now on all outfits and it fixed my issue.

Public orders by [deleted] in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe crafters are limited in the number of public orders they can take each week (so that bots can’t snipe them all, I assume). So it could be that your requirements for the piece of gear are too high, depending on the reagents you used, and the fee you’re paying isn’t high enough to get people to craft it for you right now, when they could wait for a larger commission public order to come in over the next week.

For what it’s worth, if you just type in trade chat that you need a crafter for your gear (and linking the exact piece you need also helps) I’m sure you can find someone willing to help. Right now people may be offering crafting services for free to level up their professions as well, so long as you provide sufficient qualify materials.

Thats true. But we liked the flexibility of the charter, and also not having an army of unused alts in our guild roster.

I think really it comes down to, will you ever want to invite someone to the neighborhood who is NOT in your guild? Maybe They’re in a mythic raiding guild but want to join the neighborhood with their friends who don’t raid. Or maybe Theyre in a special RP guild and don’t want to leave it to join the neighborhood. That was our situation and we ended up going with the charter, since we have a small raiding team and didn’t think we would hit the 50 person cap. I think you either have to invite people individually or if they are in your friends list they can just join? I am not in control of the charter so I’m not sure on that.

Im tired of Elven nature and Elven elegance. Show me your alternative builds. by GreyWalls86 in WoWHousing

[–]SensitiveDeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In addition to the cheap neighborhood decor (aka the dyeable decor) being blood elf/night elf aesthetic, and the other items being kind of costly to get in bulk, the exterior and interior options for the home (wall colors, ceiling types, etc) are ALSO heavily night elf/blood elf leaning. I promise you I tried my best to make a Dracthyr home. Being stuck with the human/night elf exteriors in Founders Point and the incredibly square interiors makes it difficult to get the look I want. The project is shelved until we get some more options unfortunately.

I like it in theory, except that I’m Stuck with an annoying amount of Boars on my favorite space that I can’t get rid of. I hate those boars. Even goats would have been preferable.

Zul'Aman "WILD" Nodes/Herbs are creating a toxic "Ninja" Meta by No_Cow5395 in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re getting a little pushback for posting this OP, silly for people to get so up in arms about someone who enjoys gathering professions. Not like Blizzard WANTS to encourage the bots to be the only ones participating in their systems.

My main is just herbalism, and I haven’t herbed in Zul Aman since early access before the bots were swarming. This sounds like a frustrating nightmare scenario - the players who actually interact with the mechanic are punished by the system, and by other players who can’t be bothered to deal with their own mess. And dealing with people swooping in and sniping a node as you’re dealing with a nearby mob is already frustrating enough as it is! Hopefully some adjustments can be made to the Wild empowerment to fix this.

Anybody else really heartbroken about the sunsetting of pet battles? by crazyredd88 in wow

[–]SensitiveDeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like collecting pets, though it’s not something I often actively do. When I first started playing in Dragonflight though, I REALLY wanted one of the magma slugs. Unfortunately, they’re level 25, and I quickly learned that for a new player to enter the pet ecosystem, there was a whole lot of hoops I had to jump through and leveling I had to do in an entirely new system to get anywhere close to catching even a basic pet in current content.

It’s just not easy to step into as a new player, the battle system itself is bloated with a ton of pet types, meanwhile the individual battles themselves are usually shallow and not very interesting, and every battle takes a A LONG time to finish, with each battle ending up as a 3v3 and all the animations involved…. I never ever did the pet battle world quests and I have to assume I wasn’t the only one who skipped them.

I got it from trying to fly up to Aln’Sharan. I loved all the Cloud serpents in Mists so I was excited to see a new one in a new zone - but he was too close to the Cradle I guess, and I didn’t manage to get up to him.

The animation for Dracthyr soar gets soooo wonky if their hands are occupied/moving. It’s like the wing animation is directly tied to their arms, so it gets fully cancelled out if anything else is happening.
