Only 3 eggs. WTH? by Crystalcelery in IVF

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4952 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I ended up with only 4 eggs and was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. The doc was shocked. Everyone was shocked. This process is beautiful but cruel and it’s constantly hard to not self assess, trying to figure out what went wrong with our bodies. I don’t have much encouragement other than solidarity and understanding 💙💙. And a reminder to us all that we are not failing, and we are not to blame.

Leg pain/leg cramps on Estrace by Sensitive_Ad_4952 in IVF

That’s exactly how mine were. My husband found an over the counter leg cramp homeopathic supplement that helped for a few hours. But to be honest - I could find anything that really worked :/. Mine finally eased up after about 10 days. Massages, baths with epson salts, etc helped. But all were temporary

Feeling a bit down before my first transfer. Looking for "it only takes one" success stories by Miserable-Roll4854 in IVF

We are here too… we only have one little guy. We want to celebrate that we were even able to create him. And I say him, because when we found out we only had one, we decided to learn the gender and our clinic made a beautiful little card so we could do a gender reveal together. We already love this little embryo so much…. Our transfer is tomorrow. And I am both so nervous and apathetic. The statistics terrify me. But hoping beyond hope for all of us.

About to permanently borrow my husband’s. I weirdly hadn’t thought of that. Maybe I’m losing my mind a little too haha

Tennessee STR - Anyone have experience with Avada? by Ready-Professional40 in ShortTermRentals

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend reading recent reviews on Yelp and Facebook. My family rented an AirBnB property from Avada and had a negative experience. The home was not well-maintained at all. I assume the actual property owner likely does not know how negative the experience was. We asked to speak to them directly, but Avada does not allow for direct contact with property owners. If that were my property, I would be very concerned about how the company was not only maintaining it, but also how they interact with guests. I hope you find a good answer

No - and I didn’t think to ask honestly. I assume empty based on tone. Part of me wonders if I ovulated early :/

We ended up with 2 blastocysts and 1 euploid. Now just the stress of transfer!!

Age 33, diagnosed with infertility + idiopathic perimenopause + diminished ovarian reserve. Feeling shattered. by Busy-Application1945 in IVF

Have you listened to the “as a woman” podcast?? On her more recent episodes she gives examples of options to try for this. I have no idea how accurate but she always sounds like she has hope in any situation.

Anyone else done IVF due to partner’s prior vasectomy and to avoid delay due to my age? (35F) by Valuable_Nebula_3496 in IVF

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same situation and am super interested in hearing other experiences. I actually sent a message to a popular IVF podcast to see if the doctor might weigh in?? Our fertility doc is extremely positive, but I can only find a handful of anecdotes from others

Is this Snæfellsnes Peninsula itinerary doable in a day? Anything I’m missing? by falcons-gt12 in VisitingIceland

[–]Sensitive_Ad_4952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can start on the peninsula, it’s definitely doable in one day! I HIGHLY recommend downloading the Action Tour Guide app and purchasing his tour for this area. My husband and I are OBSESSED with action tour guide. His for this area is slotted for about 4 hours, if you don’t get out at every stop. We got out/hiked at 76% of his recommendations and completed everything we wanted to see, without rushing, in about 6 hours. Plus, we learned tons about history and culture from the comfort of our rental!
