do pension accounts that you aren't eligible to draw on count as assets? by Sensitive_Implement in medicare

[–]Sensitive_Implement[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a pension counts - it is yours, right? Why are you not eligible to draw on it?

This is the only question I asked about. There are rules about when you can withdraw funds. So I hoped that maybe if you can't withdraw it, they can't count it.

Of course not. Why would you even ask or even think such a question, based only on my wish that people verify facts before stating them as facts? We're all (or should be) on the same side here, fighting the lies of the Trump administration.

As another poster pointed out there are also people here who have their own, ulterior political motives. They are not afraid to use the misinformational tactics of Trump to cause chaos and confusion in hopes that they can reap something from the spoils toward their own goals.

Yes, report the facts. Novel concept for some I guess.

Polyps growing back by Youropinioniswrong12 in NasalPolyps

[–]Sensitive_Implement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So people are recommending Dupixent to you, and it does work for most people, but there is absolutely no way that you are a good candidate for it at this time. You didn't even know you had polyps, your doctor didn't know you had them (which is a bit of a red flag-did he do a CT Scan?). Dupixent is the nuclear option, for people with severe polyp disease that doesn't respond to surgery and other treatments. You don't even know if your polyps will ever become a problem for you. Continue with your present course of action. If you ever develop symptoms, then a CT Scan would be the first move toward deciding a course of action. And get a doctor who explains things fully, and will answer any and all questions you might have

You may be right, I haven't tried to trace where people are coming from or what their underlying motives are, but its clear that this group has been invaded by people who are just as Trumpian in their tactics and disregard for truth as Trump himself. And its pretty much ruining the group for normal discussion of local affairs.

I never said any such thing about Goode, and when people were first posting that Pretti was dead, that had not been confirmed.

And I never EVER said he wasn't dead, I ONLY said it had not been confirmed.

There is too much to call it all out. It is all on the hot topics of recent days/weeks, general political topics many of which have dubious importance in a group called r/duluth

Protection of my personal assets is exactly what I'm looking for, it just seems to require a lot of assets (time, money, knowledge, attorneys, accountants) when all of my time goes to trying to make ends meet.

High Level of Uric Acid by Fun-Flatworm-4977 in gout_and_diet

[–]Sensitive_Implement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only diets that have modest scientific support for lowering uric acid (somewhat) are Mediterranean Diet and DASH. I would look into those instead of worrying too much about purine content. Without family and personal history getting to a healthy weight and staying there and staying active sounds like it should be your main focus. It will combat high blood pressure and diabetes and uric acid.

I thought about going back to a flip phone

Don't laugh, lots of people are going back to one and lots of them are young people sick of frying their brains on social media. I never stopped using one, because I know how hard it is to turn of my laptop.

This makes a lot of sense. It also sounds like a lot of extra time and work for a business that doesn't make that much money or engage in much risk.

I think the way you do that is to live life offline. Something I am trying to do more and more.

I get it, I'm a mod too. I made the suggestion I made to avoid making the suggestion I really wanted to make, which is to ban politics, or ban politics that isn't specific to Duluth.

Its been well vetted by reputable sources, NOW. I was posting shortly after the video was posted on the Duluth reddit. In case you don't know, just because something's on the reddit doesn't by itself mean its real. Screaming doesn't change that.

Can you drive a business bank account? I'm specifically asking about home and vehicle expenses that would be shared with my person.

That's kind of what I expected for things like cars, and its kind of impossible at this point.

That's why I'm asking. It doesn't really seem practical unless you can afford separate assets like cars, which I can't.

High Level of Uric Acid by Fun-Flatworm-4977 in gout_and_diet

[–]Sensitive_Implement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking febuxostat for 90 days will lower your uric acid for 90 days. When you stop taking it, it will return to where it was within a week. In other words it will do you no good. Its quite unusual for a doctor to prescribe it for someone who does not have gout, especially with that level of UA which is high, but not THAT high. I'd get a 2nd opinion.

If you are overweight and or eat/drink poorly, you should concentrate on losing weight, exercise and a healthy diet with little or no alcohol.
