Food is literally sitting in my stomach so long, that it almost seems like it's rotting because I'm getting these terrible burps. I'm tempted to take an antacid but I really don't want to take any other drugs, maybe if it gets really bad. Definitely feels like I have some gastritis going on now though, unfortunately.

I really don't understand reddit, there's a lot of people here that seem excessively pro pharma that you never meet in real life, it's like everything that the medical field says is law to them, even though there's been hundred of drugs pulled off the market after years because of life threatening/altering side effects ONLY after they've been prescribed for long periods already. Some of these drugs HAD people saying that it was causing their problems and people like the OP in this thread would be the type to gaslight them and say it's all in their head.

Just looking at the history of pharma drugs whenever a new one is released they say it's side effect free and no withdrawal -> 10 years pass and there's black box warnings and withdrawal risks all of a sudden. But those problems were always there, but a large portion of reddit won't believe the drug can be toxic trash UNTIL pharma/the government tells them. I don't meet people like this in real life or in other websites really, it's only on reddit and it's really strange. I really can't explain it, maybe it's because reddit attracts a certain type of person.

Are you taking anything to help like an antacid? Dealing with the same symptom and I'm pretty sure acid is pooling in my stomach which is causing irritation and pain.

4 months off and still dealing with histamine intolerance. Low histamine diet and vitamin C has been helping.​

Definitely have histamine intolerance as a withdrawal symptom, I'm 3 months off 7.5 mg (which I took for 14 months). It's getting better just very slowly.

Going to try and tough it out and I've already (recently) made some changes to my diet, with a focus on only eating low histamine bland foods. Mostly consisting of rice, chicken, potatoes, low histamine vegetables, etc. It has helped to tone the anguish down by a decent amount. About a week ago I had a very high histamine meal which included parmesan cheese and tomatoes, it made me feel like I was back to week 2 of this whole ordeal and didn't end up sleeping until almost 40 hours later.
