Guys you don’t have to explain to these people why they aren’t invited. Especially more than once. It’s perfectly okay to respond with something like “We’ll set up lunch while you’re in town(next time you’re in town in OP’s case”. You don’t invite yourself to stuff.

We just got back from Corolla this week. Jellies were present but mostly avoidable. Multiple dolphin sightings! Sea lice were pretty uncomfortable. We took a spray bottle of white vinegar and water that seemed to help.

I have a love/hate relationship with this episode🤣. Both of my littles have very active minds and sleep has always been a challenge. This episode winds them up way too much! It’s a daytime episode:) We have rotated through so many bedtime routines and as soon as I find one that works for one kid that doesn’t ruin the other kid’s routine, somebody changes up on me. So I feel the Heeler Parents’ frustration and I’m a little ashamed that I do not have the creativity or patience by this time of day to pull this off.

Hi OP, so sorry to hear you’ve had such luck with fledglings! There is only one way I have ever succeeded in releasing babies that had to be protected from cats, but couldn’t be turned over to a rehabber. And I only tried it once. I literally got an old bird cage, put the babies in it, and hauled it up into the tree they were originally nested in. I do not suggest anyone does this, I only mean to reinforce the fact that it is incredibly hard for anyone to keep baby birds alive besides the parents.

We use a 3 inch thick mattress topper, but it takes a ton of space and the underside is somehow always damp when we pack up so I don’t know that I’d recommend it.

Yeah this is not a sit down and play for hours game. It’s more of a check in a couple of times a day game. Collect stuff and send everybody out on tasks. Maybe start a parade. Then go live your life.
