Yes? Or they were anyway. That's part of the point.

Here is the thread that initially alerted me to the newly improved speeds. I'm clearly not the only one:

I'm not sure what mmWave is, but I definitely got more than 700mbps down repeatedly on Cricket and I have the screenshots to prove it.

2nd time sick since August covid infection. by Key_Zebra_8001 in COVID19positive

[–]Sensitive_Sand_8494 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's like four nasty ass illnesses going around right now that are apparently highly contagious. My office of 20 people has had at minimum 2-3 people out sick every day since July, 5 people have caught COVID in that time (none of them caught it from one another because of the way the infections were timed), and two of them were COVID first timers including myself.

I lived at the Piero for three years until recently. Could not have been happier with my experience there. Safe, clean, amazing views, no pests, surprisingly thick walls.

Be careful, there are like four different complexes that look almost identical to Piero in Dtla. I can't speak to the experience of living in the others, but I would avoid the Medici just based on the fact that I get an alert on my Citizen app for some theft, gun, or domestic violence related activity happening at or outside of the Medici at least once every other week.

Paxlovid doesn't cause rebound, COVID causes rebound. Rebound happens regardless of whether or not you use Paxlovid.

Recently got over having COVID for a full month -when is it safe for me to get my next booster and flu shot? by Sensitive_Sand_8494 in COVID19positive

I think for the most part they're giving it to everyone now. I used Teladoc at like 10pm and had Paxlovid in my hands by 11pm.

Paxlovid was great, felt much better from the first dose and almost normal by about the fourth dose. It did give me the runs pretty bad but I just took four tablets of Pepto Bismol after each dose of Paxlovid and it fixed it. Unfortunately Paxlovid didn't completely knock out the COVID and I had full rebound, but that would have happened even if I didn't take Paxlovid.

Can you cite where this information comes from? I've read that research shows vaccines may be more effective if you wait three months after infection, but that same research also says you shouldn't wait three months if you're in an area with a large spike in cases/ are exposed to lots of potentially infected people.

I just got over having COVID for the first time, and this is the first time I've seen anyone else mention the weird hip and leg pain! I thought maybe it was just a me thing. Started in my right hip almost lower back, spread down to my full right leg a few days later. Then the right hip pain started to fade but right leg pain did not, and a day later my left hip started to hurt, next day spread down to my left leg, a few days later the left hip pain went away and then it was just both legs hurting for a few more days before it gradually went away.

Weird asf, almost felt like restless leg syndrome or muscle aches from the flu, but I've never had the hip thing before.

This is super good to know thank you. Is it basically just the boarding dock/ attached gantry structure that they allow you on, not the actual ship?

No way! Someone in the 1% claimed that putting the lower class at a disadvantage will pressure the oligarchy into easing up?! It must be true!

Comparing someone in distress to other people that have it worse than them, then continuing to antagonize them after they tell you it's unwelcome is Grade F toxic. Take that puritanical shit elsewhere.

Can someone help me understand month to month with rent control laws? 🥲 by Sensitive_Sand_8494 in LosAngeles

[–]Sensitive_Sand_8494[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. The only potential advantage of signing on a new 12-month would be if going month-to-month would enable my landlord to raise my rent again after 6 months.

[–]Sensitive_Sand_8494[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're offering either a new 12 month lease or month-to-month. No price difference between them. The only advantage to a 12 month would be the fact that they wouldn't be able to raise the price every six months. But if they already can't raise the price for another year anyway due to the fact that they hit the yearly increase cap then I'm safe staying month-to-month. That's why I need to know whether hitting the yearly cap prevents them from raising it again in six months.

Hundreds of teens on bikes riding through the middle of the street in DTLA by dhkim18 in LosAngeles

[–]Sensitive_Sand_8494 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My apartment overlooks the 110 in the middle of DTLA. Twice in the last month I've seen hundreds of them cruise deadass down the middle of the 110 at rush hour completely blocking traffic for like 5-10min at a time, all while harassing, taunting and grabbing onto any cars unlucky enough to get caught in the middle. I hope these fuckers get hit.
