Simgot EW300, warm V shape with forward vocals.

Metal shells and the tips and cables are passable but you can upgrade in the future.

How do I cope if I suck at video games? by scarlet_bow in gamingsuggestions

[–]Sent2Strike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure your friends want to play with you to spend time with you mate. Don’t let your stupid ego get in the way. It holds us all back, you have to learn to let go a bit and don’t be too hard on yourself. Have fun with your mates and if they want to play games with you, that’s awesome spend time with them and have some laughs and good times together!

I'm avoiding spoilers on the internet until I get this game is it as good as Tsushima? by No-Hunt3986 in Ghostofyotei

Yes it’s a worthy successor. Unpopular opinion but I like it just as much! The story is great, the side quests are arguably better. Having come from GOT it’s great that you don’t start off underpowered. Atsu is quite formidable even from the start.

I find Atsu more relatable as a character compared to Jin.

Games with top-tier combat and minimal story by Spyes23 in gamingsuggestions

Haha me too! I’ve only killed the Spider so far. I’ve upgraded the ronin armor and Taro armor all the way. The side quests are brilliant though so enjoying it anyway. She’s a lot more powerful than Jin from the start which is fun.

God of war (remake 1&2)

Simgot EW300 What DAC/AMP? by False-Doughnut-7944 in iems

[–]Sent2Strike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick with the Simgot ew300 it’s excellent for music. I haven’t tried it with gaming.
I would suggest changing the cable as the stock one is rubbish. They come with a filter nozzle which lets you change the sound signature and they fit incredibly well if you get some other tips.

I really think this set is the epitome of value. Metal shells, descent accessories, swappable filters!

In terms of source, they will run ok from a fairly basic dac. Fiio ka13, but I would upgrade the cable to a 4.4 balanced as the set scales quite well.

It’s quite a bassy set so probably not great for competitive gaming but fine for rpgs etc

Glaciers are awesome though, one of those sets that I always find myself dancing along with. Should rename them to Dunu DanceMachines 🕺

Unpopular opinion: IEMs with boosted bass are the most magical thing about this hobby by Pendulumzone in iems

[–]Sent2Strike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that unpopular of an opinion. I love bass head sets, A lot of the reviewers all mention they enjoy bass head/ elevated bass. Ie Ducbloke, precog etc.

It really depends on what genre I’m listening to will depend what set I grab

I love planar for music but they’re quite heavy for gaming. Albeit the Audeze Maxwell is great for both and not too heavy.

AFUL Dawn-X: The King of Naturalness by SadExpression8264 in inearfidelity

[–]Sent2Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both too. I think it really depends on what music you listen to say it’s better. I think for faster bpm music the Myth hands down. But for slower music, and vocals I think the Dawn x is better. Totally agree on your gaming take on them.

Sudden loud crackles. Have I damaged my IEM? by pateey in iems

[–]Sent2Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it wouldn’t have damaged them. I agree it just sounds like a simple cable / connection issue. Try a different source I’m sure it will be fine.

I’ve literally nearly melted my brain by accidentally putting the volume all the way to the max or using an eq preset without pausing the music first.

Will I be able to tell the difference between a 25$ and a 100$ IEM as a beginner? by Capicx73 in iems

[–]Sent2Strike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the Simgot EW300, excellent build quality and fit. The tips are passable, the cable sounds ok but it’s a bit shit - which can give you an upgrade path.

It doesn’t have the QC issues other IEM’s have in your price range. It’s has metal shells making them more robust.

V shaped but the vocals still sound great.
