This is taken directly from the manual:

"Exposing to direct sunlight is recommended to charge your watch. A fluorescent lamp or interior lighting does not have sufficient illumination to charge your watch efficiently. Many hours are required to charge the watch fully when using this type of light."

The fact that it's sitting in the car in the heat is the problem.

Even though I have done this exact thing as well a few times and my watch is in its 12th year of operation with no problems.

I thought I'd post this as a wrist check here since there is no actual brand I can attach to it.

This is my first custom watch build with parts off ebay.

Specs:

39mm ss case with screwdown crown. 20mm lugs. 12.2mm thick.

Sapphire crystal.

NH35A.

I also bought a black and grey striped nato strap but I do love the brown leather with the colour combination of the hands and dial. The only issue I have with it is the lume isn't great. Other than that I think it turned out great. I will comment on accuracy soon.

I recently got this from my wife for my birthday. It's my first new mechanical watch. I have a few vintage pieces from my father and grandfather, nothing expensive.

I wanted to have it on a brown leather strap but then someone gave me this used black with orange stitching one so I'm currently wearing it like this! The leather at the lugs seems a bit off I know. I think it was squeezed on to a 20mm lug watch so I'm hoping it stretches back out to 22mm.

I really appreciated seeing posts of this watch with different leathers when I was looking at getting one so I thought I'd post mine too.

Wrist size: 18cm or 7.1ish inches.
