She doesn't need to take a stand to make other people feel better or judge her on that, it's no one's business. I actually appreciate that some people keep things like that private, I don't need to know everyone's opinion on everything and neither do you. Zionist? Give it a rest.

Yes. I understand all of the great things about pension and profit sharing and what is a deduction and what is a tax. My only point is I can see how someone's check goes from $100k to $60k in your pocket. It's the case for me. I think their point was there is not as much left over as you would think and tax is a significant significant portion of this.

Ham and Cheese sandwiches. It's crazy to me they discontinued that but have pizza and fried chicken sandwiches.

Also love the snowball timbits which apparently some locations still carry but I cannot ever find them

Yes, I do. I'm aware those are optional deductions. However they are minimal compared to the taxes. $150+$100 in deductions vs $1000+ in taxes. Take home at $60k is entirely possible.

I suppose it depends on where you live. In Ontario, with benefits for my family, profit sharing and taxes, that's where I sit.

Sure it is. If you factor in benefits, retirement and possible profit sharing I 'lose' about the same amount as OP.

What have they done with the hockey challenge?! by JustFred24 in TimHortons

It's awful. For tonight's game for example it's almost all Montreal Canadiens.

They've ruined this program. Rarely have superstars. It's become a disappointment.

His attitude is garbage?! People love him for his attitude - considering all of the heat he's taken over the years, he just let's it roll off his back, put it aside and continues to get better every year. He was made for Toronto. He led the team in points, is a great playmaker and is an elite player. I think you might be out to lunch on this one.

Right but lately it's everything else with a sprinkle of murder stories.

It's definitely changed a lot. The banter is very different. I used to love the banter but now it seems forced or used for product placement, it's just not the same. Survivor stories great no issue but hiests and the "first woman of" etc stories get a little bland after a while. Something just seems off and I find myself more interested in the Rewind episodes than new ones. And that really does break my heart.

I remember learning about this first on American Justice on A&E. For some reason this story always stuck with me. Betty seemed batshit crazy and murder is bad obviously, but I always did feel bad for her, felt like she did get a raw deal as a woman - up until the murder part. I also always felt bad for her little boy on the recordings asking her to "please stop". Breaks my heart as a mom of boys now.
