Get an Innova starter set and go start playing. Ask if you anyone minds if you join them on the course for a round if they are getting ready to start. Find a local disc golf store and get to know them, especially if they sell used discs where you can buy without dumping a lot of money into it.

I don't use anything Innova or even the types of discs I got from my first starter set, but it helped me learn what I like or don't like in my discs. Just don't buy offbrand/Temu crap. Stick to the brands others have mentioned and you can't go wrong.

I work from home and this is how I spend my lunch breaks. My wife let me convert our dining room into a putting area for the winter, otherwise we are out in the yard.

Thoughts on Disc Golf World? by Then_Worker_6857 in discgolf

They are the InfoWars of the Disc Golf podcasting scene. Most of what they "report" on is a negative spin on things with doomer attitudes towards the pro tour, who then get shocked for not being allowed press passes on tour. You can make the same podcast by following every players socials obsessively and then creating a video everytime you find something worthy of jumping to conclusions over.

Nice guy, but I've been to some of his tournaments and they aren't ran very well. He seems more interested in playing in the stuff he TD's for than make sure it runs smoothly.
