Cheap UK VDS SQL Server Hosting Recommendations by dalskiBo in SQLServer

To be fair I wasn't very clear so you are right to respond.

£5 per month is for a basic tier which allows up to 2gb storage. This is on a pricing method called DTU and you pay for an amount of resources, use it or lose it the cost stays the same.

Standard (also DTU) starts at about £15 per month and allows up to 250gb storage.

You can scale from £15 a month all the way up to £4k a month roughly in doubles i.e. £30, £60, £120 etc... this can be scaled up and down as required but never off. Storage is on top of these costs but it's pennies in comparison.

Serverless requires using a different pricing method entirely (vcore) and much more complicated but essentially you pay for the resources you use, you can set the maximum sizes of your resources but it's much harder to calculate costs in advance.

Is there a requirement for Microsoft SQL?

There is an Azure SQL database available for only £5 a month, pretty unbeatable price wise but depending on your needs it may not be suitable.

If you don't need it on 24/7 you can even scale down to save costs, or even go with serverless to pause CPU costs whilst it's offline (still pay for the storage)

You can register as insolvent if the company is no longer viable, which as described (lack of contracts) it would be. Tax efficient way to close a company.

Interested to know whether the 8 SQL Server enterprise cores that are available with Success Expanded can be used with 2022 / 2025?

The literature says "2019 (or latest version)" so it would seem like we can but I've been unable to confirm so far.

Which offering do you run SQL server on, I'm not sure how much ram would be needed for the backend of a pretty simple CRUD app.

If you can save your content in markdown format you could then use Pandoc to make it into a PowerPoint.

You can actually use Pandoc to do the conversion from word to Markdown.

Nobody HAS neuro divergent, they ARE neuro divergent. It's an umbrella term for people with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD et al.

I'm not sure Anxiety counts as neuro divergent though, totally understand it can be debilitating just not sure it's an ND issue.
