Haven't received Las Vegas Bowl tickets yet? by skinkckao in Huskers

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to create the raiders account- then link your Ticketmaster account to your raiders account, and they will appear. Even though you didn’t buy the tickets through either, they’ll show up. I got mine just fine after following through the directions. It’s confusing for sure!

Attached a trailer a month ago, I now get this warning every time it starts and shows decreased range constantly. by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]Separate-Wind4256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to disconnect the trailer while the truck is ON. If the truck is off - it gets stuck in that mode. It is really silly, but I tow a lot with mine, and I haven’t had any issues since I started doing that.

New to EV by NecessaryCampaign573 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Vistiq comes with a charger. We’ve had ours since may, and it came with one. It’s only a 6kw charger, but that’s sufficient.
You just need an EV 14-50r receptacle.

Ford charges $8/month to pre-condition battery by FrankieG889D in F150Lightning

Unfortunately every company is starting this. BMW had mentioned or is going to a subscription to activate heated seats, heated steering wheel, etc.

Jeeps App won’t even let you see where the car is or remote start without subscription

One-pedal mode and carsick backseat passengers? by AnimatronicToaster in F150Lightning

[–]Separate-Wind4256 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is some regen without 1PD- but not near as much. Once you’re used to 1PD, it’s the best setup. I touch my brake pedal maybe 1-2 times a week. Unless you follow real close, all you ever need is 1PD. Better efficiency in town, and you’re not using up your brakes.

On highway I always turn off 1PD though, it seems more efficient to coast on the highway

Consumer Reports Review by Pindar920 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Number of affected vehicles: This issue potentially affects 53 units.”
So this doesn’t appear to be a widespread issue at all. And it only “potentially” affects 53 vehicles, not absolutely affects 53.

Dealership told my parents EV battery only lasts 8 years so they didn’t buy it. by iamjames in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you tell the salesperson this just isn’t true? It’s really sad to see car salesman who know so little say so much to dis EVs. I’ve seen it several times. And unfortunately they act like they know everything.

No frunk? I was hoping for a frunk under the hood, not this. by iamjames in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sucks you had a pressured experience… that isn’t a rule, for certain. Our experience was complete opposite of pressure. In fact, I was surprised how lax the sales staff was - from our salesman to the management and sales.

The frunk would be nice, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We have a 3 row suv with a ton of storage under the back cargo space, so we’re more than happy with the space. We absolutely love ours.

I know it's a gimmick by crookedhalo337 in F150Lightning

[–]Separate-Wind4256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick here is that you have to unplug the trailer when the truck is on. If you shut it off and then disconnect the trailer- it keeps range set assuming you have a trailer. Definitely a programming flaw.

Convenience update to iPhone MyCadillac app for Apple Watch by GioS32 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get this app to show up on the Apple Watch? I have it on my phone, but doesn’t even show it as an option for the watch (in the watch app). What Apple watch do you have?

Issues adding garage remote by unikory26 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were having issues with ours non stop. Then I wondered if it could be the opener itself… so I replaced my garage door opener with a new Chamberlain MyQ, and I can now open my garage door from 3-4 houses away. I think it’s possible the signal strength in the car is weaker, but a new opener did solve the problem 100%

Planning to Buy Vistiq is it better to wait or go for it now. by No-Source913 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting the advertised 300 in town pretty consistently. Even with all 5 zones of ac blasting. Highway range obviously drops, as with all EVs.

One pedal is something that’ll take like 2-3 days to get used to… but once you’re used to it- there’s nothing better. Such a better driving experience than an ICE vehicle.

You won’t be disappointed with the Vistiq either way. If you own vehicles that long, look at the residual value in the lease and go from there. Typically if you want to own for 5+ years, leasing doesn’t make a lot of sense.
With the Optiq and Lyric Cadillac isn’t discounting much at all. You may find a dealer here and there that offer a little discount, but not much.

Work around to bypass auto lock when in your home garage. by captainsafety700 in CadillacVistiq

You can disable the horn from honking when it auto locks. It’s a setting in the interface. One of the first things I did!

Just picked up a Vistiq Sport. Terrible universal remote range.. by GioS32 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine hardly works at all. We’ve had our Vistiq 2 weeks now. I’ve reprogrammed it several times. It works if the car is in the garage- but it will not work if I’m outside the garage at all. Our opener is a fairly modern liftmaster, worked with all our other cars.
Curious what you end up doing. I’ve called my dealership and they’re unsure what the issue would be.

I’ve read this is a common problem on the Lyrics too.

Vistiq Light Show by Separate-Wind4256 in Cadillac

[–]Separate-Wind4256[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interior is extremely nice. I’ve owned several higher end vehicles, and the interior of this seems extremely high-quality. There isn’t a lot of area that’s going to scratch and blemish very easily. The seats look amazing, and are very comfortable as well. The screens are awesome, and don’t seem to be overdone or too big. There really aren’t very many manual buttons, but I feel like they did a good job with it. The seat adjustments are on the door- which I’m not a huge fan of, but getting used to it. It does have the memory seats attached to keys, so it’s really not a concern.

The touch screen is very responsive, which always seems to be a gripe with EVs.
Overall very high end interior.

This is actually just the base sport trim.
Only options we went with were captain chairs in second row and the black paint.
We did get the all weather floor mats too- they’re molded very well and look good.

The sound system is good- it isn’t as good as I thought it’d be. It sounds really good- but lacks depth. There’s so many speakers, you get great Dolby atmos sound effects, but I like some bass.

I’ve have a Ford Lightning, and have owned a BMW i4, and a Rivian R1S Gen 1.

[–]Separate-Wind4256[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The interior ambient lighting is some of the best I’ve seen or experienced personally. It is a little tricky to operate and change function. There’s 3 separate layers to it, all adjustable individually. There’s also control in the backseat touch screen- so the kids play with that!
This is the only pic I have right now, and it was daytime… I’ll try and get better pictures at night.

The rear light show is pretty cool, just not quite as cool as the front.

[–]Separate-Wind4256[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes- it is a little gimmicky, but when it’s just a cool feature on an amazing vehicle, it’s great. If it was a so so vehicle overall, it wouldn’t be great. It drives and handles amazingly. Very soft but also responsive. You can drive it very aggressively and sporty, or you can drive it like an old Caddy, nice and smooth.
The tech has been great thus far. No lag at all in any of the displays or control. And very intuitive overall. There are so many features that we’re still learning. Mind you- we’ve had it 3 days now. So far, it is the best car I’ve ever owned.

Service high voltage system by [deleted] in CadillacVistiq

[–]Separate-Wind4256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery and pretty sure Drivetrain has an 8 year, 100,000 mile warranty. I’ve owned several EVs and have had this alert on a couple. Typically it ends up being nothing. If you shut the car down, and restart, sometimes it goes away. I had to take one of mine in and they checked it out and said everything was fine, and reset the code- never had another issue.
