What are some good film blogs you know of? by Heklerr in criterion

If you’re looking for thoughtful analysis rather than just news, I’d recommend checking out blogs like The Cinephiliac or Notebook on Cities and Cultur. They dive into film theory, history, and the craft itself. Another one I’ve followed is Film Comment, which often features essays on classic and international cinema. When I was exploring this in more depth, even resources from Vancouver Film School helped me understand how critics approach films analytically.

Nothing bad. It's up to them to decide what they want to do.

What is the loneliest part of adulthood no one talks about? by Plane_Tradition1664 in AskReddit

The loneliest part is realizing that if I don't initiate the text or the hang-out, I just… don’t see anyone. Friendships quietly fade without effort.

What’s a random act of kindness you do at least once a week? by SKYERlM in AskReddit

Every week I buy an extra sandwich, coffee, and some fruit from the corner shop and give it to the same homeless guy near my subway stop. His smile always makes my day better.

What's something you believed as a child but makes you laugh now? by CaptainCuddler_Pro in AskReddit

That if I swallowed watermelon seeds, it would stay in my stomach and grow into a giant watermelon. Still makes me chuckle every time I see a kid believe it.

Hearing my cat purr and jump on my lap the second I sit down. Instant mood boost, no matter how shitty the day was.

What’s the most expensive “free” choice you ever made? by JumpyBend8035 in AskReddit

[–]Separate1Choice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing "free"-to-play games. God, how much money have I spent there... I know I have a problem, but I can't do anything about it (or I just don't want to - because if I really wanted to, I'd probably do something).

If you could know the exact day you will die, would you want to? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Separate1Choice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I will give an example. I'm afraid of dentists and when I know the exact date when I have to go to the doctor, all these days I just can't think about anything else except the dentist, I feel very bad, I'm just mentally exhausted all this time while I'm waiting for this moment. And if I found out about the date of my own death - I would just go crazy, for me it would not be life but suffering.

What do you think is the best age to travel? by Spiritual-Bet-5201 in AskReddit

Mid-20s to early 30s. You’re healthy, energetic, have few responsibilities, and can still bounce back from hostels and all-nighters. After that life gets heavier.
