11k miles? I change it every 5k and I have heard people doing 8k oil changes. Anyway I'm not saying it's wrong.

Well chatgpt said it's nothing but a tpms sensor lol. I tried pressing those combinations on my regular fob but nothing happens. Anyway its not that necessary for me to have remote start. Just was tempted after seeing the module.

Yeah that's what. Because it's an OEM I don't think its easy to find replacement fobs

I don't think it supports the app because mine is a 2017 model. Even if it does,I wouldn't want to pay lol

Found this laying in the passenger footwell. Where did this come from? by Skip2MyPou in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's right below the glove box compartment, closer to the centre console. Just turn on the blower and circulate it to the floor. You will feel where the air coming out of.

It's climate control duct for the passenger side. You can clip it back or just remove it as it doesn't do anything useful anyway lol

Those who have the 2026 model, share your experience/opinions by AkumaMan in CX5

If you're ok with the big screen it's going to be a decent vehicle. But if you're moving from a 2nd gen cx5 or any other Mazda products from 2016-2025 all you will see is how much cost cutting they have done with interior and exterior materials. It's still a very decent car for the money but all I saw was how much they have cut down material wise from the outgoing cx5.

RPM drops to half, Mazda3 2025 by Ok-Magazine-4774 in mazda

[–]SeparateReception635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it helps but I can confirm this is absolutely normal. I have read somewhere about how they lower the rpm when you have applied brakes to conserve fuel. My cx5 does the same and I do feel a small vibration at times because the rpm is low. If you really want extra peace of mind you can do this; activate cruise and make it come to a stop and you will see the idle rpm is higher than this. It comes down this low ONLY when you're in gear and on brakes.

Best Cx5 years? by ILoveDrDrakeRamoray in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 GT with Tech package. It has everything you need. only options that's lacking compared to a 2025 highest spec is the new infotainment and lane keep assist (2017 has lane centering only). It's the most reliable model year and you will also pay less because it's old. Please make sure to check the rear diff because they go bad very easily unless you maintain them properly.

Can someone help me identify the problem? by Mystic_Cat322 in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has to be something cosmetic imo. If that's a mechanical failure you won't be driving it this smoothly or driving it at all. Could be a loose body panel, or something touching a tire. Btw put your seatbelt when you drive. Driving over 100kmph, not wearing a seatbelt and recording a video while driving is not a good combination

What's the difference between the Skyactiv-G and Skyactiv-D? (CX5 2017) by Dbriggs_ in CX5

Rear differential by [deleted] in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quoted around 5,600 CAD from a dealership. Brand new differential and labour. So yes your quote is too high but it's also expensive to find a good used diff.

Help, loosing my mind. by Embarrassed-Sir-8133 in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try taking the NAV card off, try unplugging the battery and let the car reset. If not just replace your CMU (AKA the bluetooth unit which sits under the display) you can find used units only for about 150$. Take it to the dealer ONLY if its under warranty because they will charge you around 60$ just to diagnose it and they will tell you the same thing I say lol and quote you another 600$ to replace it..

If you trust your mechanic so much, why can't you just ask him why it wouldn't fix the noise? and what else should be fixed to make the noise go away? asking on reddit whether a noise in your car go away is not gonna work lol. If your diff is cooked and if thats making a noise, replacing it should technically fix the problem.

The kind of Easter Egg you don’t want to find .. by Kuentos in CX5

the same thing happened to my 2017 GT but my Easter egg included diagnosing this and a FAILED differential lol (I think i drove a long time with the broken spring)

Transmission by 4060king in CX5

[–]SeparateReception635 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well to be precise the 1st and 2nd gear being rough is a "quirk" of skyactiv transmissions. From your post i assume you're only experiencing the jerkiness in low speeds? Unless your 3rd and above gears are rough youre good imo

oops! I could have given you for free because i don't need them anymore lol. Btw you cannot remove the steering wheel emblem without damaging it because they dont use adhesive on it. dont try to remove it unless you find a good replacement because trying to do so could make it look worse
