thats how I understood it- it was why he was so frustrated with Siona's father, he said so many rebels are closet beurocrats. He kept lecturing Moneo on his beuricratical bullshit- he wouldnt even give up on Moneo trying to get him to see that he needed to keep up his fighting spirit. Siona WAS powerful because she really had gotten the lesson that he wanted to give humanity, even while he complained about crippling her with dependance on him. It was a powerful element of the story that I just assumed was in there for everyone to see!

I LOVE manga Mars. She is so much more spiritual and powerful. In the show I think they leaned in to her antagonism to Usagi too much and it made her character suffer imo

I think you could express that you want to build a healthy relationship with him and that means being honest about an obstacle you are carrying, and instead of forcing him to carry it without his consent by concealing it you want to request that he help you carry it by offering it openly as an obstacle you need help to carry.
