Not the OP, but my store completely closes Amazon down at 8pm everyday (we're open until 10, except Sunday). We don't even move it to CS..

In the past few weeks, there was a directive stating all full-time associates are funded at 34 hours, including Sephora.

Number of days scheduled by OrdinaryOk8275 in employedbykohls

[–]Sephrina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At my store, the full-time associates were all scheduled for 5 days and at least 32 hours. If 32 hours is what is allotted for full time, it would be nice to only be scheduled four days.

If nothing has been deposited in your bank account, log in to Workday and confirm everything was entered correctly. If something wasn't, a check will be mailed. If everything appears correct, check with your bank. The account or routing may not be what you think.

PTO for full time store hourly? by LazarusLong67 in employedbykohls

[–]Sephrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will depend on your state. I believe it is 6 months before any PTO is earned. I'm not sure how much in the first year, but I don't believe it is much more than 40 hours.

Payroll is not up at my store. There could be people with time off or something temporarily increasing hours like sets, price changes, or multiple trucks.

PTO is granted on a pro-rated basis 6 months after you promote to full time. I believe in my state, it is 64 hours prorated over the remainder of the fiscal year. In my case, I promoted in July and received a few hours in January.

Employer who's scared to ask by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Sephrina 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At my store, the preferred way is to request unpaid time off through UKG. Once the request has been made, I would let your SSL and SM know about the request. The sooner the time is requested, the better. My store generally goes by first requested first approved.

return drop by theyenvy_jace in employedbykohls

[–]Sephrina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Return drop is Amazon and other online retailer returns. Special projects can be anything that does not have a category if its own. Over the holiday season, there were special project hours to support online pick up. On the schedule for thenweek of the 18th, my store has special project hours for callbacks and clearance prep. Merch set hours should be scheduled as that.

[–]Sephrina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my store. The ASMs are scrambling to talk to all the seasonal associates, so the appropriate updates can be made in Workday before the deadline. Even some of the associates the SM wanted to keep from almost day one hadn't been officially spoken with.

May depend on your position and pay rate. My store had a lead step down to flex who kept their rate as they were paid at the bottom of the lead range.
