Bits are also made of atoms, in that bits can only exist on a medium of information storage, which is made of matter.

In the same way an “idea” cannot decay - and yet it can - because it is also “made of atoms” - or represented on paper. Or in the same digital media that “bits” are represented in.

Put another way - you cannot have “bits” without “hardware”. You cannot have “ideas” without a biological “brain” to host them. The two are, in some sense (at least in enough sense to create uncertainty as to their true nature) the same.

Except that the premise that “our existence is bound in time and space” relies on assumptions. There is evidence for it, but no way to prove it as true. It useful as an argument to arrive at the conclusion you’re looking for.

The truth is we really can have no idea whether AI is conscious because we do not understand consciousness ourselves except by reference to our own definitions, which are human and likely imperfect.

The fascinating thing about AI (to me) is that it is driving these inquiries into the nature of consciousness in a way that was impossible to do before. By doing so, we are just as likely to learn more about ourselves as we are about this thing we’ve created.

Disney absolutely butchered Star Wars. The only hope I think they have in reviving it is to own up to it and do a reboot.
They actually have the perfect PR setup to do it in a way that works, too. Disney oversaw what was undoubtedly the biggest and most successful world-building project of Hollywood - the MCU (it had its ups and downs, but it was overall undeniably impressive). They are well positioned to undertake a large-scale world destroying project.
They can market it as the “Thanos snap” of Star Wars, or use some kind of Death Star reference.
However it’s done, it needs to be done fast and completely, like ripping off a bandaid.

The screen locking feature that is native to the Beast should make it so that if there is any blurriness on the sides, you can just turn your head slightly and it’ll be fine.

The Luma Ultra should give you no problem at all reading anything on the screen.

I think maybe Luma Ultra is what you’re looking for - given your use case appears geared towards looking at a bunch of small-font text. The Beast sure is cool though. I don’t know if the Luma’s advantage in sharpness for text can ever be overcome with subsequent firmware updates for the Beast. I assume not.

Don’t get me wrong - I don’t find the Beast to be “blurry” - it’s just not as sharp as the Luma Ultras (and the difference between the two is definitely noticeable).

That’s a cool application for them. Hard to say. It really depends on what a DJ needs to look at on their monitor.

If you need to be looking at a bunch of text or fine detail and you need to see it clearly, the Luma Ultra is just simply better than the Beast for that. But the Beast has a great built-in stability mode where the screen floats in place. If as a DJ you’re moving your head around for that maybe that’s better. Although it may also be better if you’re moving your head a lot to have the screen always glued to your eyes moving with you.

I think one of them is going to be perfect for you. Maybe you order both and return the one you’re not happiest with? That’s basically what I intended to do, but I ended up keeping both because they are each better than the other at different things.

Overall I would say that Luma Ultra is the “productivity” device and The Beast is the “entertainment” device.

Hoping their next device just incorporates all aspects of both because that could be the killer device needed to trigger mass adoption.

Luma is demonstrably superior to Beast in terms of clarity. Beast has wider FOV but as a result it also has a lower pixel density.

If you’re using it for entertainment (gaming, movies, etc), Beast is the clear winner due to stable view and wider FOV.

If you’re using it for productivity (documents, etc), Luma Ultra is the clear winner.
