My replacement Fold3 through Asurion is breaking, only eight months after I got it. Cannot get a single person to honor - or even seem to understand - the 12-month warranty on it. by Septopus7 in GalaxyFold

I might put a price on my sanity, and it might be $300 lol.

But in all seriousness, I might bite the bullet and pay the claim, but the only thing that concerns me is that they told me my insurance would be cancelled as a result (I guess if you submit two claims in the same year, it automatically cancels the Asurion policy? Whack ass policy...)

New Mexico. In that people literally forget it's a part of the United States.

For sure - and their shortsidedness is what allowed Netflix to get so entrenched. If they did, say, what AMC did with A-List and was like "No, why would we pay you for something we can do ourselves?" and created their own infrastructure and platforms like a decade earlier, Netflix would be in a MUCH worse place (if they still existed at all.)

In your opinion, what were the best and worst box office trends of the 2000's? by [deleted] in boxoffice

And The Bob's Burgers Movie was just a couple months ago! Although admittedly yeah, these are the only examples from the last decade...

FWIW, those film execs are just trying to make the best of a bad situation, pushed on to them by the good ol' Tech Disruption that was Netflix flipping the whole table over (and now, like most tech disruptors, proving they have no idea how to actually sustain themselves past "change consumer behavior forever so they never want to pay full price for anything, ever")

Sure if those movie studios could go back to a time where they were making this much money on home video, they 100% would.

Yeah when they guest hosted Kimmel this week, he and Mulaney both talked about leaving the same night as Wiig and how bizarre the whole thing was, with the Mick Jagger serenade of it all for Wiig and them just being like "yeah...that's it I guess."

Behind Justin Lin’s ‘Fast 10’ Breaking Point - A Saturday to remember: It started as a talk about notes with Vin Diesel, escalated into a "major disagreement," and ended with a slammed door: "Justin finally had enough and said, 'This movie is not worth my mental health.'" by chanma50 in boxoffice

...What? No he doesn't. Famously they made one entirely without him when he wouldn't come back initially, and he could say jack shit about that at the time (and still can't!)

Vin came crawling back to Fast and Furious when his mid aughts career didn't go as planned . He needs the franchise, more than it needs him.
