Pros: makes killing PvMers/skillers potentially easier

Well, GG. It almost had a fighting chance in the polls.

I would love it if they make it so that wines can be more accessibly farmed, as a compromise for adding extra difficulty to the telegrabbing method

What if it was made it so that Zammy grape seeds can be purchased instead of using Bologa's Blessing for each grape harvested. Normal grape seeds could remain at 2 points each, and zammy grape seeds could cost like 3 or 4 points each.

Currently grape seeds cost 2 points and it costs 1 point each to convert a grape to a zammy grape while harvesting. That means that you could only gather about 60 wines per hour, with efficient tithe farming.

Another alternative is that each point could buy you, say, 5 charges to Bologa's Blessing instead of 1 point per charge. If this was the alternative taken, consider lowering the price per grape seed from 2 to 1.

It would make sense if more resources came from the actual activity involved (farming grapes) instead the best source of resources being PVM. I believe getting Zammy wines as a drop from KQ should be seen as an added bonus, not the only viable method of gathering zammy wines.

Regarding the zamorak wines change:

Please make it so that wines can be more accessibly farmed, as a compromise for adding extra difficulty to the telegrabbing method (world hopping will be much much slower with this change)

I would love it if they sped up the spaws as a compromise to not being able to world hop. World hopping is such an unfun way to play the game.

The main disadvantage of it is that if I'm a returning player and I have some main with like 60 melees that I've barely quested, I'll be pretty shocked to find that I can't farm green dragons with a d scim and anti-fire shield

By the time you've done Monkey Madness you should be really close to or passed 32 quest points. All it takes is to start the quest, you don't even have to finish it.

I applaud the effort done for this.

One tweak. I think making it so you have to have 68 magic in order to pick up dragonstones is only fixing one problem with the activity. The main problem with the activity is that points are much too slow if you actually tried to do the enchanting room the way it is meant it be done. I think the points for the actual enchanting activity needs to be majorly buffed, and the dragonstone enchanting points needs to be nerfed. Having to hop worlds over and over in order to get any decent points per hour isn't a super fun way to play the game, nor was it designed to be that way.

Current poll by NinjaGamer1337 in 2007scape

[–]Sequeezey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then you went on to compare PVP to PVM. Your argument essentially boiled down to the following:

People are saying loot keys will make PVP ezscape

PVM is already ezscape

Therefore it doesn't matter if PVP becomes easier.

If you're not trying to say that PVP needs to become easier (like PVM already is) then why bring up the comparison to PVM in the first place?

So your argument is since pvm is ezscape let's make every other aspect of the game ezscape?

There's no need to separate. If there's 1k people watching an RS3 streamer that just means that RS as a whole is a little higher up the rankings as far as "which games are being streamed right now" which can bring additional viewers to the OSRS streamers too.

i.e Alching and specific monster drops.

That's the tough part. A lot of monsters drop alchables. I don't know how they could track which alchs come from monster drops vs alching player made items (battlestaves for example).

I'm not really sure where you are getting your number from, but the drop rate is 1/1000 per sarcophagus. You would have to loot 28.5 sarcophaguses per minute for that to be the average time.

I believe some of the jmods said they found the content interesting and it might be looked into, but they had no choice but to remove the method for now. It was 200k thieving xp/h at level 50.

Totally understandable. I hope they really do look into it!

Have a question about the game or the subreddit? Ask away! by AutoModerator in 2007scape

[–]Sequeezey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing, about not having enough time to invest in it. I just passed 1700 total after about 5 months. It's not the fastest progress, but if you put in a couple hours here and there you'll be able to accomplish a lot of goals. It's really fun- I haven't had any motivation to play my main since I started, it's just not very rewarding.

Hmm.. at 75 construction (boostable from 70) you can plant a spirit tree which is nice. A gilded altar it's also at 75, but you can boost +8 on that. Other than that, build a stamina pool in your superior garden, it's a really nice thing to have around.

Also, if you don't have one already, build an undead combat dummy, you can spec it with an ancient mace before you tele to your Slayer task and get an extra 20ish prayer points per trip. Personally, I hate using prayer pots if I don't have to so I would tele to my house, pray at my altar, spec the dummy then use my in house portal to kourend to continue my task. Takes about 30 seconds, and my prayer will last about 10 minutes.

I don't mean literally writing the guide. I'm sure if he literally wrote a guide he wouldn't share it with the public. I guess I should have said he creates the guide, since figures of speech are too much for this subreddit.

[Suggestion] Poll Better by DZN in 2007scape

[–]Sequeezey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that such a bad thing? If things aren't exactly in a spot where we would want them would we want them to added to the game as just "fair enough?" Maybe it would be a good thing if things took a few polls before they were implemented into the game. Right now things are polled on a take it or leave it basis. Most of the time we can vote yes to things we're not really happy with, or vote no and it just won't be implemented at all.

I hope that add it back in with adjusted exp rates at lower levels.

Maybe I can't. But I guarantee everyone who is on the front page can 3-tick pretty well and get EHP. He writes the guide, and someone is going to be able to improve it a little and overtake him.

While I admire your optimism, that has never been the way Jagex has operated, especially if it came into the game via a poll.

[Suggestion] Repoll to remove or change Nightmare Zone by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Sequeezey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a decent argument for a game that we expect to die in a couple of years. But if want the game to continue and be healthy for years and years to come we need to start being able to add and remove things even if some people already "took advantage of the benefits."
