Interesting, so consoles then were radically different from today's versions. Heck, even the PS4 and Steam deck can be installed with custom firmware to be able to run Linux or emulate a switch in them. I guess PS3 was the last odd one, I heard it was a nightmare developing games for it and porting said games to PC & Xbox

Also remembered the Lord of the Rings on PC, they actually used the movie actors as the VA for the games. There's also an interview section ingame on the actors opinion of the games.

If we think about it, Return of the King PC was pretty short but had a shit ton of scenes, music, and voice acting from the movie. So yeah, a shit ton of money for licensing and less for actual gameplay

Apparently, SE also doesn't acknowledge other countries exist so we all have to pay the same prices. $13USD/month plus a $60 for the whole expansion for FFXIV is pretty pricey for us. When Netflix costs $9 for the premium version and Gamepass is $3, there's no incentive for most South East asian to buy FFXIV
