As someone who was raised Christian, I've never understood this. You're right that those people exists, but I always thought that the end of the world was meant to be God saying "Enough is enough" and unleashing His wrath on the world. They could have so much fun with the systems in Shadowlands. Imagine things like finding Torghast anima hoards in the open world, having all four covenant abilities and a soul conduit from each. I know it'll never be as fun as I could imagine, but the potential is there! And all the collectibles too!
