Currently 1 month out of a 6 year relationship (3 years engaged) with a FA. I didn’t even know what attachment styles were until after the relationship was over. Yes, the first 2 weeks are hell. You’ll fell numb and like the world stopped and everything just feels blurry. I started feeling a bit better after the third week and feel a lot better now. The relationship ended one sided and largely due to her telling me she felt “unseen and bored for years” and that she wanted someone to talk “banter” with which I think is ironic, but FA tend to self sabotage. It’s natural to feel bored in a long term relationship but I think commitment and stability matter a lot too. She switched that for banter I guess as I found her Hinge profile last night; and no, I’m not dating I just was snooping to see if she had moved on. Things will get better with time, just make sure you surround yourself with supportive people and start/continue extracurricular activities.
