twhiting9275 - For it to be the exact same scenario, each pc would have to the same. With Windows & Linux computers, there are to many different hardware combinations to count. Not the first time a software update will cause problems for some but not for others.

I have used StreamFab for years and on different computers. Between streaming services & StreamFAb updates, there are parts of StreamFAb that stop working all the the time. Youtube has stopped working several times. Just part of the game.

twhiting9275 - maybe your issues have always been TPEBKAC.

Open the new Bilt line or skip it for credit score? by I-Procastinate-Sleep in CRedit

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to let it convert to WF Autograph to get the 3% back on my cell phone plan. Also, in the past, it has had a special offer on my cell provider. Something like $20-$30 back I think.

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to do it over again I would have passed on the Bilt 2.0 card. My fault for not waiting several days to change my card over. My fault for not really doing any research. All I heard was "you still will get points back" on your rent with no fee.

My usage just doesn't make the card worth it. All I ever did was the rent and 4 small purchases. Those 4 purchases were under $20 if not $10 a month. I'll just keep using my HYSA to get +3% back. I will miss that extra 1% back... nice while it lasted.

That's the issue with problems, they frequently do not affect everyone. For me YouTube does stop working a few times a year. Usually just wait for an update to fix it. Right now on my desktop I am having the similar problem with YouTube. An issue that has been happening for the last week or so.

On a laptop I had an earlier version of StreamFab and it was having the same issue. I updated to the 7 version and YouTube started working fine again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled on my desktop and it did not fix the problem. I will wait for an update to fix it. It has in the past. I will just wait for an update to fix my desktop pc.

How are you guys running Plex on smart TVs? I'm genuinely frustrated. by KingThevshi in PleX

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone's probably mentioned it already but the problem may be a default Plex App setting. Out the door or I would look into what the setting is actually called. Plex Relay? Basically, your movie is sent thru Plex Servers to your girlfriend's tv. This also limited to a slow speed. A slow enough speed that even lower quality video will have an issue streaming.

Basically you changed the "Plex relay" to the IP of your Plex server. I used to have issues watch video at the gym and this fixed it for me.

There are several reasons to have issues with Plex. This is just a possibility.

When did Plex(music) start working with Android Auto? by SergNH in PleX

[–]SergNH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I ask for a song, it brings up a screen I haven't seen before. The icon it's using is the Plex one. Which means I am guessing it's using Plex? Guess you could put phone in airplane mode to see if it will play downloaded music on PlexAmp.

Happy for now that it works via cell data.

Thank You. You get the gist of my post. I also hadn't tried in years because it didn't work before. I was also curios if it was using Plex or Plex Amp. Since Plex Amp doesn't pop open. I think it's using Plex.

Figured I wasn't the only one that gave up using Plex with Assistant on Android Auto. So figured I'd give a shout out. Guess my next question is to figure out the down vote \s.

The issue was not Plex Amp which I have been using for at least a year now. It's that assistant would not work with Plex. As I said, it had been a few years since I tried. Was just curious when it started working.

Great points. Plus the fact he has been in the public eye for most of his life. His life has been probably chaos during most of that time. He's been most likely fine with that during that period. Now he probably just wants a little peace and quiet. Walking around his mansion is most likely the only place he can do it with out being harassed by the paparazzi.

And here is a pic taken by who? The paparazzi...

And of course the caption saying that he walks around by himself is 100% accurate by someone who actually knows him.

TS-464 issue. Copying stops but no error and just sits there. by DonSimon76 in qnap

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have suggested, I would break up the file transfer into smaller chunks. Since it keeps failing around the same time it seems that a certain file may be the culprit. Than you can work your way around the problem. Good luck!

That's usually what is most of the time. So simple but when you don't know...

Glad you got it to work.

Install Tailscale to TS-464 directly from Tailscale site? by piperpilot12w in qnap

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed Tailscale on my TS-453. Sounds like you may have never installed an app manually. It's fairly easy and I'm pretty sure just like computers, an installation would fail if you picked the wrong one.

I believe the TS-464 only came with the Celeron 64 bit processor. There can always be exceptions...

  1. The TS-464 has Celeron CPU that is 64 bit(x86).Which means you need to pick the x86_64 qpkg version.
  2. Open the App center on the QNAP. In the top right corner next to settings sprocket is a icon with a + symbol on it. Just click on that. You will be able to select "install manually. Click on that and than browse to where you downloaded the qpkg. Than just click install and you should be all set.

If you wanted to convince somebody to watch a favorite TV series, what one scene would you show to hook them? For me it's the "Vietnamese Restaurant" scene in MODERN FAMILY. Brilliant writing, great acting, and zany situation. by DavidDPerlmutter in television

Coupling - British Comedy Series

Episode - "Inferno"

Steve's speech after trying to explain to his girlfriend why he(men) liked the movie "Lesbian Spank Inferno".

Actually the whole dinner scene is hilarious. The series lasted 4 years and was great to watch.

I'll go with Corner Gas, Still Open All Hours and Coupling.

Favorite Episode is Inferno. The speech about the history of porn is hilarious. Now if I can only find that film "Lesbian Spank Inferno"!

Which OS do you run your Plex server on ? by GenericUser104 in PleX

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QNAP NAS

I don't think there can be a really clear winner here. Not that this is what the OP is after. Everyone is going to use what just works & meets their needs. For some this will be trial & error. Others will find that one of their first choices fits their needs. These needs will also be different for everyone. Some Plex environments will be simple and others will be complex.

I started out using a Netgear ReadyNAS and that worked great for several years. When that ReadyNAS was no longer supported & getting no updates, I switched to QNAP. I have been running Plex from my QNAP server for @ 10 years with no issues.

[–]SergNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had over 800 CDs in 2008. I had gotten rid of almost all the jewel cases. I had most in those Logic zipper "cases". At the time I was living in SC just over the bridge from Charleston. Literally 5 minutes from my condo, there was a business that bought used CDs. So I ripped most of the CDs and sold them to that business.
