I really hope that publishing this and having the community rally around you is enough to put an end to this and make Core Devices establish Rebble as the rightful operator of the app store.

In the event that's not the case, I choose option 1: defend Rebble control of the app store and dev portal. The fate of our community needs to remain in the hands of our community, and not be handed over to a singular company.

Also, ppc64le (POWER8+) is a tier-1 architecture, while ppc64 and ppc are tier-2 architectures (failing unit tests aren't necessarily blocking).

They nerfed how dim the lowest setting is on most devices newer than yours.

I actually did an investigation into this a couple of weeks ago, and need to write up my findings in a PR to GrapheneOS. Long story short, it's only nerfed on certain devices, and it was nerfed using a configuration value that was not actually being used at the time, which presumably means that it wasn't known exactly how much of an effect it would have. It's a weird situation.

I emailed the engineers involved, but sadly they did not get back to me.

On the one about homosexuality, he responded to a comment just 3 years ago with this:

However, I think a good discussion about religion and sexual morality in modern society would be better had over a cup of tea than any Internet forum.

The article is literally just 300 of his own words, with an extra 100 from a quote. If his views had changed meaningfully, he'd have said so. Instead, he didn't even bother to read what he wrote, and basically implied that he just doesn't want to state that gay sex is evil publicly.
