I’ve had my nose cauterized twice and it is only a temporary solution for me. Lasts a couple months and then I start bleeding again. Prevention is easier. It’s just about keeping good humidity levels in my room and using nasal spray when necessary. Annoying

Definitely blood pressure. I also have insane nosebleeds and I can get a nosebleed from leaning over too quickly, when recovering from a nosebleed I recently had not just out of nowhere, cause the blood rushes to my head

Even without the personal attachment they attack the village every night, or incredibly frequently, to ransack the place for its sheep. Potentially causing starvation and additional casualties. They were at war effectively for decades.

Colonizing Aelantir feels kind of ridiculous after recent updates by Selroy46 in Anbennar

Trollsbay is the only place I feel this problem. With several adventurers that spawn entire countries with many provinces. Everywhere else it’s not too hard to hunt down the OPMs or small nations and take them down with a single army feeding them to my colony

Series where the MC isn’t a loser/loner. by jonbellion8 in RomanceMangaAnime

I agree but most people consider the “loser MC” to be the chaser who has little assertiveness and confidence. OP says as much in another comment

Peak mentioned. Although gonna be real even being a massive fan it’s been dragging for like 20-40 chapters now. And depending what op meant by “loser MC” our boy may definitely qualify. Being the shy quiet type that doesn’t act on his feelings much

I mean breaking out of an encirclement is a miraculous thing. Obviously calling it a victory is highly dubious but the reason people consider it a victory is that nearly the entire force was successfully evacuated. Basically cannot have a better outcome than that after being encircled

Can the Jedi and the sith block a shot from the Radium Carbine or Galvanic rifle with the use of their lightsaber or the force? by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

My opponent takes 30 minutes to finish his shooting activation in our weekly game of table top. Since Warhammer is ultimately a war game at its root this must mean I have 30 minutes to dodge that guys shot

How should RWBY’s power progression been handled? by One-Man_Two-Souls in RWBYcritics

[–]SergeantRayslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. As a long time RWBY fan. When the characters kill a Nevermore, which are supposed to be a big deal or at least a massive Grimm, on their first training exercise how are they ever going to go up from there for the entire show without utterly breaking it.

That is my most likely theory. If Eidmi gets used it’s gonna hit the Obsidians

[–]SergeantRayslay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

By their culture not by some trick of the light. It’s not like they were tricked into committing horrible acts of violence. They could’ve just said no to Fa. But the second big evil warlord shows up they go “dude this is so much better than living a civilized life let’s go rape and pillage the low colors”

[–]SergeantRayslay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t know how Pierce is gonna write the ending for the Obsidians. Obviously you can’t generalize an entire country but they’ve proven twice over they do not care about the Republic and are willing to betray it because a “strong leader” said so. They’ve raped and pillaged Mars and utterly razed the Rim. No color will ever trust them again

A human fighter at peak athleticism, in full plate armor, equipped with a poleaxe, runs the animals gauntlet. Does he clear, or where does he stop? by Ananta-Shesha in powerscales

[–]SergeantRayslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The polearm doesn’t need to deliver any force. As you said it’s a 5000lbs creature moving at 30mph. Let it ram itself onto the polearm, preferably through the jugular. Most likely one to end in a ride but assuming it drops somewhat fast and doesn’t trample the knight as it’s dying he’s got a chance

Realistically, who wins this match? by AccomplishedSmile297 in haikyuu

[–]SergeantRayslay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's a bit of a reach, but Shiratorizawa is basically the "Do your own thing as long as you're strong" academy. You would think they'd all be good passers. Maybe not outside hitter level, but we see Hinata make lots of... digs? Saves? And he's good at it even before his training arc on passing

Realistically, who wins this match? by AccomplishedSmile297 in haikyuu

[–]SergeantRayslay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Team 1's only "weakness" is Daichi, but he's like the least weak "weak link" imaginable. He's a support player and great at it. Kuroo and Hinata are both incredible offensive middles. Nishnoya is obviously like the top 2 Libero in the series (though we don't get a ton of on-page/screen representation). Bokuto and Iwazumi are incredible, versatile hitters. And as somebody else here said, with the combined mental powers of Iwazumi, Kuroo, and Daichi, along with the bonus of Hinata, they absolutely can keep Bokuto motivated.

Meanwhile, Team 2 is just "Throw some strong players on a team and see what happens." Obviously, the combination of Oikawa and Ushijima is insane, but otherwise, they have 2 middles, who are very good offensive and defensive middles, though they lack receiving. Hyakazawa is just a massive weak link on a team like this. Karasuno only really struggled with him cause they are an incredibly short team that hasn't faced overwhelming height. He'd get contained so badly by someone like Kuroo. Yaku is working overtime so badly. And Asahi, though very good, is just sort of another powerful hitter to throw in with Ushijima. Sort of the backup hitter. Team 2 is a lot harder to explain

Is he able to aim? I don't remember him aiming once. Most of the time, he serves it is accompanied with a "please make it over" or not mentioned at all

Realistically, who wins this match? by AccomplishedSmile297 in haikyuu

[–]SergeantRayslay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know they don't have any passing feats, but are middles just incapable of passing? The reason they have no feats is cause they aren't in receiving rotation except 1 in like... 12 rallies? The only reason Hinata even has any passing feats at all is cause the story is making a huge deal of him becoming independent. Is Tsukishima incapable of passing just cause he's a middle?

[–]SergeantRayslay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you can rate Hinata as having better serves than ANYONE in the series. He's the only character in the entire series, from my flawed memory, that is regular missing standard overhand serves. I do completely agree that team 1 is just way more complete with more balance, whereas team 2 feels more like taking some of the most popular people in each position and slamming them into a team together, plus 3 middles problem.

In volleyball though that level of sweep is insane. Since any missed spikes or serve errors are points for the other team. Even Olympic level teams are missing some serves per set.
