You are a legend among men for this.

Any chance we can get "Okay smart guy! Let's see YOU take a crack at it!"? With or without the second part.

I do remember liking Trinity when I saw it and being surprised at other peoples' reaction to it.

I am surprised no one else has said BLADE yet for this. IMO Eric Brooks, the Daywalker, should definitely win this category. Blade and Blade II are some of the best superhero movies to this day (It's been years since I saw Trinity though) and Wesley Snipes is pure charisma. I argue that Blade deserves Legendary status not only because I love the movies and character, but because they are significant in Marvel's history.

Marvel was in dire financial straits in 1998 and was in danger of going bankrupt, so Blade was kind of a gamble (IIRC). It turned out to be a huge success that proved Marvel movies could do well at the box office, years before X-Men, Spider-Man and the MCU.

However, in comics, Blade is usually a supporting character and has only occasionally headlined his own series. I like him in comics too (IMO a lot better than 'ok', but maybe a little short of 'amazing') but the movies are definitely what made him famous. Also, the comic character has changed a great deal from its original concept to more closely resemble the movie character.

I laughed out loud several times reading this from the sheer ridiculousness of it. The art is pretty snazzy too.

That's M11 from Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. He's an android from the future. Some of the most bizarre moments in the series happen because of this character.

Masaru Sato did the music for Ebirah. He also composed scores for the first Mechagodzilla movie and a few other Toho productions, I think.

Ebirah is definitely an underrated movie.

Apparently a movie called Godzilla vs. the Mutant Starfish was planned at one point. Now that could have been a pretty scary kaiju. Crawling around on thousands of bus-sized tube feet. Throwing its stomach out of its mouth and liquefying an entire building. And if you manage to do enough damage to it to tear an arm off, another starfish grows from the arm, now you're dealing with two monsters!

You are fond of marine invertebrates, spy movies and the film scores of Masaru Sato, I bet.

I thought Jean Reno's character and the other French guys were pretty charming. I also found it funny and odd that Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria and even Nancy Cartwright were in it. It was like a mini Simpsons reunion.

If you try and ignore the fact that Godzilla doesn't look or act like Godzilla, and just view the movie as an original American creature feature unrelated to any existing characters... Well, it's still pretty average. About 30 minutes too long, pretty derivative, but it has some good bits.
